How Much Does A Golden Retriever Shed?

Let’s see, you  golden retriever and you want one as a pet. BUT you have some doubts when it comes to exercise & shedding. How much exercise does a golden retriever need? How much does a golden retriever shed?

Well I can tell you the answer to both questions.

Golden retrievers need to exercise daily. Frankly speaking, I am a bad bad golden owner. Chester doesn’t exercise a lot. He spends most of his time doing this:

Don't disturb Chester

I realized his physics has changed recently. He’s forming a bulging tummy!!! :worried
Aiyoyoyoyoyoyoyo

As to how much a golden retriever shed, well I’ll let the picture below do the talking.

Golden retriever shed

This is just 2 days worth of fur on a non-shedding season. So you can imagine when the shedding season come (which is twice or even thrice a year) how much fur I need to sweep everyday!!!

Nevertheless, all the hard work will pay off because a golden can melt heart. ZZZzzzzz (melting)

Smart Chester

Smiling is one of their best features.

So do you still want a golden retriever?
My answer: Yes! FOREVER & EVER!
How about you?

Remember to get your dog from a good breeder or animal shelter. Don’t promote puppy mills by buying dogs from pet shop.

p/s: Have you seen a laughing golden? Haha they make a funny sound and they look even cuter than smiling!

Hcfoo, they’re gundog. Majoring in retrieving skill. hehe Jack Russell are small dog…so oklah can exercise in the house. They’re very active and makes a good guard dog. I would love to own a Siberian Husky(another large dog)…to accompany Chester…hehe

Bengbeng, ya I’m going to send him the fur and he can knit himself a jumper…hahaha

FeR, schnauzer are cute. I prefer jack russell.

i like golden retriever too, and also Labrador. My current landlord has a doberman and labrador, and i think doberman is too scary for me. it’s unpredictable. it sometimes barks at me like stranger! everytime i leave home, or come bek from outside, it is stricter than passing through a custom, the doberman will sniff me endlessly and it is very annoying.

Xin, oh yeah doberman is scary la. I like Lab too but love GR more.

Oh yeah, goldies are really adorable but for some reason, hubs prefer labs. I tell ya, these working dogs can be very tiring for my old bones. Cut down on Ches’ food lor if he is not getting enough walks, that’s what i do for the boys.

Dawn, dear old Chester is always hungry (looking hungry)! Don’t have the heart to cut down his food.

    Wow… That’s a lot of fur.

One day I’ll have to get the hoomans to measure how much fur both of us lose per day. Kekeke…

Anyway, they say the same for JRTs as well. We need people to exercise us. However, Rusty is more active than I am. I prefer to ZZZzzzz like Chester. :-P

Just like hoomans, we doggy have our personalities too. Kekekeke…

You sure know how to melt hearts. I just use Jedi mind tricks.

    Licks,
