Missy Worm

CC wants to know how and what type of worm I am. So here goes… (nerdy worm :nerd:)

Do you remember how you developed a love for reading?
Hmm actually no. I don’t remember. All I know is that I don’t get to buy books that often. Money was hard to come by.

What are some books you read as a child?
Collections from Ladybird Books, Enid Blyton’s Famous Five series & her other popular book series & The Hardy Boys.

Famous Five

What is your favourite genre?
My favourite genre is adventure & romantic fiction. I do read a few copies of fantasy (LOTR, Star Wars), chic lit & thriller genres. You’ll almost always find me in the adventure fiction section. Oh and travel, pets & cooking section too. Hehe

Do you have a favourite novel?
Shantaram is da best novel I’ve ever read! Second by Dan Brown’s Angels & Demons. Third is the LOTR trilogy. Tsk obviously I’ve not read any books recently.

Where do you usually read?
Always in my bed.

When do you usually read?
Before going to sleep. I need something for me to relax, to call it a day. But you know what? I’ve stopped reading for quite some time.

Do you usually have more than one book you are reading at a time?
Nope. I like to concentrate one at a time.

Do you read nonfiction in a different way or place than you read fiction?
Nope. Same only.

Do you buy most of the books you read, or borrow them, or check them out of the library?
I borrow books from school library during my younger days. As a teenager, I always rent books from this place called Novel House in SS2. Now of course I buy them.

Do you keep most of the books you buy? If not, what do you do with them?
If it’s really good, I keep them in my treasure box. No touching ya. Hint: Please don’t ask whether you can borrow my book when I say this xyz book is really good. If I don’t like them, I sell them off.

Books collection

If you have children, what are some of the favorite books you have shared with them? Were they some of the same ones you read as a child?
IF… I’ll love to read them Enid Blyton’s collections.

What are you reading now?
Eat Pray Love from Elizabeth Gilbert.

EatPrayLove

Do you keep a TBR (to be read) list?
Nope. I love to rummage through the sea of books at the bookstore.

What’s next?
Try to finish Eat Pray Love. I don’t know when…

What books would you like to reread?
Shantaram definitely.

Who are your favourite authors?
John Grisham, Sidney Sheldon, Mitch Albom, Dan Brown.

John Grisham

Now, I’m interested to know about your reading habit, Miss Hedonistics Anonymous. Hehe

Fortunately, my housemate borrow me a lot of fashion magazine in english and I learn my english from magazines.
