I’m Officially A Backpacker

Yipee oh yeah yeah! Yipeedidu deh yeah yeah!

I don’t considered myself as a backpacker even though I’ve tried once or twice doing the backpacking way when travelling. Because something is amiss.

And the reason I’m so happy now is because I’ve found bought the missing link. It’s a bag. A bag that recognize you as a backpacker. I’m the proud owner of a brand new Futura 38 AC Deuter backpack!

So what d’ya think? Cun or not? The color is black-granite. Love it. This backpack is ideal for mountain hiking and travelling. One of the plus points of this backpack is the Aircomfort system which provides an air space between the backpack and the wearer’s back thus provide a good ventilation system. The number 38 means this backpack can fit 38 litres of waste goods. It has 6 side pockets, comfortable paddings and comes with a rain cover for the backpack.

I’m very happy with the price of the backpack as well. It cost me 4 days of decent meals a mere RM199. Normal price is RM499. Hehehe saved me RM200!!! Unbelievable eh. Unfortunately by the time I publish this post, you can’t get this dirt-cheap price any longer. The warehouse sales was over. Sorry guys.

To tell you the truth, I almost gave up along the way to the shop. Because of the stupid road construction that covered almost a full length of Sri Damansara and Damai Damansara area, we can’t U-turn nor see any sign. It wasn’t until we U-turned back at Sungai Buloh (can you believe it!!!!), asked for Sri Damanasara direction from 2 petrol kiosks and finally saw the sign that read ‘UFL Warehouse Sales’. It was worth the trouble in the end. I’ve got what I want and so is my sis. She bought the same backpack as well!

We bought another cool bag from Deuter brand as well called Hokus Pokus. As the name suggested, it’s really hocus pocus! Fold it all together, you will get a pouch type pack and when you open up all the zippers, you get a daypack. Cost us RM77. Not sure about the normal retail price (Maybe RM100+).

Hokus Pokus dude!

Last but not least we bought a Coleman widebeam headlamp at RM23. It’s for the Mount Kinabalu trip. Surprise! surprise!
