Chester did his compulsory annual jab few days ago. When the jab was over, Chester flew down from the table. Yes he really fly! That one second passed by like a slow motion for me. I was amazed and thankful. Thank God I was holding his collar and butts so he has a smooth landing.
I also requested for a blood profile check on Chester. At first vet said no need since he has done one last year but I insisted. I thought the vet will ask us to leave Chester and come back later to pick him up (something we’ve done twice) so that Chester will calm down and the vet will be able to draw his blood. This time though doc just ask us to leave the room and stay at the reception area. I highly doubt she will succeed (my 2nd time doubting the doc hahaha)… and wahla she did it again this time in less than 5 minutes! I think one of the main reason Chester manages well this time is because he has his eyes fix at the vet. Wherever the vet go, his eyes will follow. He wants to know what the vet is up to. Wukakaka
Chester will have to live with it (shaved fur) come CNY. Don’t think it will grow back in time. Sorry Che, you won’t be your usual handsome self when your fans visit you. Haha
The only time we have trouble dealing with Chester is on the weighing scale. Chester is nearly 33kg. I’m shocked actually because I’ve cut down on his food since he’s getting older and yet he still packs the kilos.
I received his blood profile result 2 days later. Thank God everything is normal except he’s a bit high on protein, dehydrated (pcv) and has some infection (wbc) going on (may be due to tick or fungal). Vet advised me to change his kibbles gradually to mature/senior type, let him run more so he’ll drink more water and to bath him twice a week to cure his fungal.

I’m thankful everything’s alright with him.
However I know his back legs are slowing him down these days.

Chester is about 73 pounds is ok mah. He looks good.
Chase is 92 pounds, when I cut his food down, I see his ribs – so pronounced, I added the 2 cups back to his meals – twice a day. He runs up and down the slope for about 30-40 minutes every day, sometimes more and now it’s cold he deserve to be fat a little! 🙂 I wish I have the semangat to bathe my dog.
I think Chester is smaller in size than Chase. He’s not the big bone type. I guess that’s why his ideal weight should to be less than 30kg (senior).
2 cups per meal? Chester’s meal is 1 cup per meal (twice a day too). Mine doesn’t run that much. He walks mostly. Haha And our walks usually take about 15mins and then he will drag me back home. He’s one lazy bum.
I don’t have the semangat to bathe him once a week… apalagi twice a week. Argghh.
How old is Chester now?
I somehow wish doggie lives as old as human, so that we can have each other as companion longer…
He’s 9 plus. Oh yeah I wish dog can live for a long long time. 🙂
9 years old is equivalent to how old is a human being? Glad to know the little chap is all ok!
My ah pek is about 60 years old in human years.
