Chester & His Birthday Cupcakes

Chester: “Thank You all for the Birthday wishes.”

Here’s a recap on Chester’s special day.
I’m sure my sis wanna know what happened on 3rd Oct 2009. Hehe

I woke up to Chester’s barking. Thought of sleeping in late a bit. But no chance. He heard me moving on the bed and that’s the time to get his master up.

After helping Chester with his morning formalities (ahem… u know la toilet), I proceed to baking his birthday cupcakes. There were a couple of mishap in the kitchen (yeah I live up to the Messy Witchen name). First I put a yolk in the dry ingredient when I’m suppose to put it in the wet. Then I put a yolk in the egg whites! :grrr: Luckily I managed to toss it away and only a few drops of yolk got in there.

At that very moment, I thank God that the only being that will eat the cupcakes is my dog. Dogs don’t judge a cupcakes by its taste or texture. All they see is EDIBLE = YUMMY. Food will always be food for them. So Weheee! No matter if the cupcakes sank or cracked. Wuahahaha

Well, the misadventure didn’t stop there. The cupcakes came out nearly dark brown. But it’s good inside. Fheww!

I make Honey Carrot Cupcakes for Chester. I’m thinking maybe this is the ‘burned’ sugar color… caramel… honey. The honey I used is supermarket grade. Doesn’t taste nice.

After that I went out leaving Chester home alone. It was near dinnertime when I came back. I wanted to make some frosting for the cupcakes. I wanna spell Chester’s name using the frosting… C.H.E.S.T.E.R like that. BUT gua sudah sangat malas.

Kibbles & plain Honey Carrot Cupcakes. Not bad la ya? After all frosting is not good for dog ma.
Will you forgive me for not decorating the birthday cupcakes, Chester?

Happily sitting there until I said “OK” (a cue to you can eat now).
The best time to make him smiling and looking at me is to bribe him with yummy food like this one.

He ate the cupcakes so fast that I’ve not even blink my eyes once.

Breaking the cupcakes down into smaller pieces.
And still… so fast.

We ended the day with a long evening walk. Plus some running. And footballing session with the neighbor’s kids.
