Dog Books

Pacco

Looking at Pacco’s huge collection of dog magazines make me jealous only. You see, my master never buys any pet magazine except for this one time because her favourite dog; golden retriever is featured in the 1998 issue of Pet World magazine. That was 9 years ago, way before I was born, way before my papa and mama meet each other and way before Che-Cheh start working.

Che-Cheh said buying pet magazine is a waste of money wor. I think so too. Better spend her money on my food rather than buying magazines that are full of ads only right?

dog book

These are the only 2 dog books that Che-Cheh have. She bought Guide To Raising A Puppy before I came to live with her. See she is so determine to buy a golden then huh. The other one was a present to Che-Cheh from my 2nd master (Che-Cheh lil’ sis).

I must say Caring For Your Dog is one of the most informative dog book around. When I’m having some weird illness like the horrible ear mites and the ever difficult to pronounce Pododermatitis, Che-Cheh will flip through the book to look for more information.

What kind of dog magazines/books do you have? Care to share?

On another matter, Che-Cheh still hasn’t finish reading Marley and Me (story about a very nottie Lab Retriever and his master). She said she don’t have the heart to read the last few chapters because she will definitely cry. The book is left on her bed untouched for few months already.

Marley and Me

Good news is Marley and Me will be featured into a film soon starring Owen Wilson and Jennifer Aniston. Yipeedeedudah! If only I’m a lab maybe I can act as Marley! :star:

Somehow, the S’pore-based Petworld is hard to find here liao. :-(

I’ll have to make my hooman post about our library later. ;-)

My hooman haven’t got the Marley & Me book yet. She’s afraid that she might cry after reading it.

Jemima and Hedo, that’s why I don’t wanna read. I don’t want to be reminded of what I’ll go through with my dog in the later stage of his life. But I’ll try to finish it.

    Hi Che-Cheh,

I hopped from Yvy’s blog to yours and have been reading your blog a while now. I saw this post and I can’t help but to chip in a comment. I have 2 labs and I cannot bring myself to read Marley and Me. As it is, one of my “boys” is not feeling too well, breaks my heart to see him limping and having difficulties getting up. My hubby wanted to get the book for me, I told him to hold it off. Have a good one!

Dawn, hi welcome. So sorry to hear about your lab. Is your lab in his golden years? That’s exactly what Marley had to endured. He couldn’t climb stairs and had difficulty to get up and walk. I stopped at that chapter. Can’t bear to read it anymore but I’ll continue when I’m ready. Read the book when you’re ready. I’m sure you’ll laugh and cry at the same time.

Narrowband, wait for the movie la. You don’t want to cry twice do you?

Pacco, welcome dear. Oversea dog mag is expensive. Since this book is about dog 100% maybe your owner will like it. I think the movie will be in comedy + drama.
