in Chester

… for Chester’s 9th vaccination of his life.

Just as we parked the car in front of the pet clinic, Chester began to bark excitedly. We haven’t got out of the car yet. I think he recognizes the clinic. Smart dog *kembang*. Second year in a row with no problem leading Chester inside the clinic. I had to muzzled him up later because he was ‘talking’ not stop and I couldn’t hear what the doctor was saying.

Hi Doc!

Hi doc!

First up is the weighing scale.

Weighting ChesterWeighting Chester

We had some difficulty prepping Chester on the digital scale. It’s either his head was out of the area or his butt is. Haha

Weighting Chester

Grrrr…

Finally we got a reading. My dog who is 6 years and 3 months old this month weights at 29.6kg. He’s lighter by about 1kg compared to last year which is a good thing because as dogs get older, we have to be more sensitive towards their weight. Overweight can really hinder their mobility and health.

My dog is going to be a senior next year so the doctor said ideally he should drop his weight to about 26-28kg.

Chester Muzzled Up

Waiting for the doctor. Awww look at his brows.

The doc said he needn’t to be muzzled. So I removed it.

Checking His Hematoma Ear

I asked the vet about his ‘unhealed’ hematoma ear and she said no problem. Hmm??

After that injection time!

I'm Scared

Chester clung on to me after the needle went in. I praised him “Good Boy Chester!”.

Checking His Teeth

Now say “Ahhhhhh…”

If you think Chester is such a good boy, not struggling on the table then you’re wrong. He did struggle a bit but overall it’s controllable.

I Want To Jump

I want to jump.

Hmm Where Shall I Land?

Hmm where shall I land? This corner or there ar?

Tata

In about 15 minutes, we’re ready to jump back in the car.

Total damage RM110.
1. Deworming RM30
2. Vaccination RM80

p/s: All pictures were taken with Lumix TZ7.

Snoopy & Rusty due for their vaccinations too.

Anyway, Snoopy is not feeling so well. I’m quite worried as she is drinking & peeing more than usual. Not sure if its the weather but her appetite and other behaviour is the same as usual.

Just that Snoopy is like Chester, going to be a senior dog soon when she turns 7 this year.

The vet clinic lobby is so spacious. Since my dogs are so big, all examinations and vaccinations are done with the dogs laying on the floor. Thank goodness they don’t squirm around but it’s a whole different ball game once we are out of the examination room….fire ants gnawing on their butts! :) Btw, to you give Chester heartworm pills every month?

Angie Tan, hope there’s nothing wrong with Snoopy.

FeR, yeah like super happy like that eh? If I didn’t hold on to him, he will run to the front door… cabut!

Fufu, oklah. This medical fee is once a year.

Tekkaus, hahaha yeah in most cases. They really are men’s best friend. Always there for you no matter what.

Dawn, that’s what I like about this clinic. Spacious, clean and no yucky smell. How heavy are them? I give him Heartgard Plus once a month.

Foongpc, he certainly is. Haha me tak malu. :P

Xin, I was afraid of jabs until my early 20s. Now not anymore la after kena jab so many times. Hehe

Chase weighs the heaviest at 92 lbs; Cooper at 88 lbs and Ranger 80 lbs. The lower their weight once but the master said they look too thin for winter! So back to their regular 3.5 cups a day. i give them Interceptor for heartworm.

Chester is slightly heavier than Hugo, who’s 27.5kg max.. very hard to get him above that.. which vet u go to ?

Swee, oh I thought Hugo is larger. The vet opposite ACS (not directly). Used to go Thomas but not anymore. What about you? Which vet you take them?
