Misaeng, Marriage Not Dating & Nine (Kdramas)

Here are three Korean dramas which I watched in the span of a month. Yes a month! Suprisingly all are tvN dramas.

Misaeng
Misaeng 미생

Heard raved review about Misaeng when it was airing so I decided to marathon this drama during CNY. This 20 episodes drama starred my favorite Im Si Wan and Lee Sung Min. Also in the line-up are Kang So Ra, Kang Ha Neul, Byun Yo Han and Kim Dae-Myung.

This drama were based on a webcomic, depicts the life of Jang Geu Rae in the world of working life. It really is shocking to learned the truth about South Korea’s working situation. Ohmy ohmy… I don’t really want to comment anything except give this drama a go and find out for yourself. Personally I love the early episodes of Misaeng and the finale. The ending episodes were kinda draggy for me. Indeed it was one of the good dramas I’ve ever watched.

Marriage Not Dating
Marriage Not Dating 연애 말고 결혼

I’m not sure what drove me to watch Marriage Not Dating. Perhaps Yeon Woo Jin?!? This drama is about a man who doesn’t want to get married (his parents arranged blind dates for him occasionally), so he introduces a woman which his parents would never accept.

The love story is typical and if I had known it’s not an interesting ride, I would have drop off very early on. But I found out too late and so I finished the whole 16 episodes. No regrets but just a plain ‘quite cheesy’ love story. Ohh the lead actress, Han Groo overacted some parts. I don’t recommend this.

Nine
Nine: Nine Times Time Travel 나인: 아홉 번의 시간여행

Nine has been on my to-watch list for over a year plus. Finally I got it done & dusted in just a week. So glad I finally watched this drama. 🙂 If you’re a time travel buff, this one is for you.

This 20 episodes time travel drama are lead by Lee Jin Wook (hawt!) and Jo Yoon Hee. It’s about the character Park Sun Woo time travel nine times to the past to solve his family’s suffering. What he didn’t know is that… deng deng deng okay no spoiler. Hehehe

I love a good time travel show and this is no doubt on top of my all time favorite time travel drama/movie. I always have goosebumps whenever I watch a time travel drama and funnily I didn’t experienced any here. I love all the twisty turns the writer of Nine gave us. No doubt there were some loopholes here and there. I was so glad when the ending came because I understood everything. Then came the credit ending scene and I was gobsmacked. I’ll stop here without revealing more. 😉 Highly recommended.
