I’m a HUGE fan of The Amazing Race and I’m not ashamed to confess that The Amazing Race season 12 somehow lack ‘oomph power’ compared to its predecessor. The constant nitpicking relationship between Nate and Jen helped a lot. I think without them, the race will be like an ordinary backpacking trip. Oppps!
Today is the finale of The Amazing Race 12. Yahoo! The final 3 teams are Nicolas and Donald, TK and Rachel and Ron and Christina. They’re all the good teams. Good meaning they don’t play dirty. I don’t have a preference on who will win TAR12 but it would be good to see Ron and Christina to cross the line first because they’re the most improved team in TAR12.
Here are my comments on the 3 teams:
Nicolas and Donald (grandpa/grandson)
Who would have thought an old man and his grandson will make it to final 3? Not me. I kept predicting them being eliminated each round. Me so bad hor. :tongue: Both their arms were tattooed during the Fast Forward. How cool is that? Bear in mind, Mr Donald is 68 and not many 68 would agree on this ‘insane’ act.
TK and Rachel (dating)
To me, TK and Rachel are kind of like the invisible team. They’re like under the radar all the time. The fact that they were able to complete their Speed Bump and caught up with Nate and Jen and Nicolas and Donald was the turning point of the race.
Ron and Christina (father/daughter)
This is the team that has been improving from the word ‘Go’. I’m amazed how much Ron (the dad) has changed throughout the course of this race. Sure there were some Ron-outburst situations but at the end it was this team that emerged the best.
Finest moment in TAR12…On the run to the pit stop, Ron “I love you.” Christina replied “I love you too, dad!” How sweet?

Honestly, I’m like you, losing interest in TAR liao. I’m actually rooting for the Asian father and daughter team. Anyway, the final three teams are kinda weak compare to other seasons.

MonkeyWong, during the roadblock, I figured Rachel is going to solved it first and I was right. Hehe
I love TAR, but I miss out the season 12. I stay with MIL and she likes to watch chinese show. I, being the good DIL, have to let her. But I am like hcfoo and you too, start to lose interest in it, even Fear Factor.
