Oh Wow! I watched V for Vendetta last Friday night and I got to tell you this: It was wonderful!!! You just couldn’t miss it for life.
Vendetta means blood feud. The word is Italian, and originates from the Latin vindicta, “vengeance.”

The moment I saw the mask face on the newspaper I knew something wonderful is in stored for this movie. The mask is not scary at all…why it’s the most beautiful mask that I have ever seen. It had a nice ‘knowing’ smile and red cheeks.

The mask man(Guy Fawkes’ mask) or better known as V was played by Hugo Weaving(Elrond of LOTR, Agent Smith of The Matrix). Weaving played his character ‘V’ very well. V are charismatic, caring, cool, swift, skilled in combat and etc and etc…I guess he’s a guy anyone can fall in love with(including you guys out there :-P). Both V and Hugo are an enigma. Come to think of it, thoughout this movie Hugo didn’t showed his face at all. It was his great, strong and compelling voice that is doing the work. I was amazed.

Evey was played by the beautfiul Natalie Portman and she looked beautiful even with her head shaved. Great job Natalie! The jail scene was so intense. Oh WOW!!! I think I’m becoming to like her more. Let’s just say she gain a new fan that Friday night.
My verdict ? A++ =D>
Trivia:
1. Natalie’s hair was shaved in just one take(of course). No computer wizardly involved.
2. The film is set in 2020(how ironic!!!)
3. Being huge fans of the original comic series, The Wachowski brothers (Andy Wachowski and Larry Wachowski) wrote a draft of the script in the ’90s before they worked on The Matrix (1999), which shares several similar themes with “V for Vendetta”.

For some cool soundtrack, head over to their official site. You can actually hear it online for a few moment. Hmm I am thinking of buying the soundtrack as I love most of the songs.
