A Happy Ending For Astro and Me

I promise this will be my last post about Astro because I can now watch Astro without going through any emotional breakdown. In other words, no more reception problem.

Guess what actually caused the horrendous reception problem ? Nope wasn’t the cables or decoder. It was our Astro satellite dish!!! That ‘thing’…hahaha circled in purple is the culprit.

My parents decided to get a new Astro since repairing that damn satellite will also cost us a few hundreds. Wise move! The new Astro decoder is smaller in size and more chick. The remote control is also different from our old’s one. What I like about this new Astro is I get a faster reaction for the program/ Menu/Guide/Info to appear. Less than a blink of an eye man! For my old Astro, I usually waited for about 2 secs for the program to appear.

Our old Astro decoder of 6 years. Cost us RM899 6 years ago.

new astro
Yeah! our new RM199 Astro decoder. (psst pict too dark, didn’t use flash)

new dish
Say hello to our new satellite dish.

When I was finally sitting down watching my favourite show on Astro, my dad asked me “Satisfy?”. Timidly I said “YES”. Actually I wanted to say out loud “Yes, I, the Queen is satisfy”.

Hahaha… the Queen is satisfy now! Your new Astro decoder looks cool… my Astro’s reaction is very the slow too, have to point the remote control straight to the decoder and press the key on it properly, otherwise no response.

Jason, don’t know what went wrong then. If not I would have change earlier. Jeremy C, sun setting. Pict taken on that very day the new Astro was installed at my home.
