Sis, Dreamcatcher and me went to X-Games Asia 2006 (also known as Asian X-Games) at Sunway Lagoon last Sunday. It was an eye opening for me because I’ve never been to an X-Games before and I’ve never been to Sunway Lagoon before.
We arrived at Sunway Lagoon around 1pm and it was scorching HOT!
The event was held at the ‘artificial beach’ area. Among the events held on the final day(Sunday) were Skateboard Park and Best Trick, Sport Climbing (Men Speed) and Aggressive In-Line Best Trick. Unfortunately we were only able to view a little bit of Aggressive In-Line(around 1.30pm) and Moto X(around 5pm) events because we have another mission to accomplish.
To sum up the event, I’ve gathered the pictures below:
Clockwise from left; the only lady-Japanese in Aggresive In-Line event!!!, Takeshi Yasutoko(I think so) dancing to the beat of the music, a stunner during Moto X event, one of the youngest contestant in Aggresive In-line event~about 14 years old if I’m not mistaken, the ’stage’ for Aggresive In-line event, another Moto X stunt, X-Games logo, yet another Moto X stunt and finally the center picture is sis and me with the wall climbing backdrop.

Besides being a spectator at the X-Games we also took the opportunity to purchase a special RM10 pax admission ticket to all park(wet & dry). Normal price is RM39.90 for all park.
That was what our secret mission is all about. We decided to skip the wet park as the water was damn murky
and the place was packed.
Althought dry park is suppose to be ‘DRY’, 30% of the rides in Sunway Lagoon dry park is WET!!! Can you believe it ? Thankfully we brought extra clothing. We tried the Apache Pots, Wagon Wheel, Buffalo Bill Coaster, Colorado Splash, Niagara Falls Flume Ride and Grand Canyon River Rapids. For a tiny moment I felt like a kid again. Not much photos to be shown as we were busy playing and playing. Overall I’m not feeling any adrenaline rush except for twice when I came down the Colorado Splash with Dreamcatcher(weight problem
) and during Niagara Falls Flume Ride(where you will be TOTALLY soaked up!). Oklah I’m satisfied because at least it’s worth my RM10.
And that is why I’ve never been to Sunway Lagoon since it’s opening and me staying like just 20 minutes away. My 6th sense is telling me not worth it.
After we had changed, we proceed to watch Moto X and stayed on a few minutes to watch some live band performing. I promise myself the next time I will concentrate totally on X-Games by going early, get a good standing place, get a temporary tattoo(sticker type; just to get pumped up), etc…
Next project ? I’m thinking about participating in PJ Half Marathon 2006…say 21km or 10km.

Dreamcatcher, i’m not saying your weight is a problem. I meant one too thin and one too ahem ‘ideal’. What I learn about gravity ? always team up with someone your own size. Imagine both of us team up in bungee jump…my my I will be bouncing up and down more often. Oklah I decided to participate in the 10km run. Wanna join ? Bryan, depends…are you a beginner or an old hand ? Hahaha I plan to walk 70% of the 10km marathon. Neo, play too much until no time to snap photo lo. So why didn’t you pay a visit to Sunway Lagoon all these while ? Robin, hello! Ohh I’m a beginner and therefore I will choose the 10km run.
