Special Set Promotion @ Tai Thong

When you think of Tai Thong Restaurant, what is the first thing that come to your mind ? Expensive Chinese cuisine ? high class restaurant ?

When dad invited us for a dinner there last Saturday, we were doubting him SERIOUSLY. My dad’s known for his ‘kiam siap’ness aka stingy aka kedekut. (psst: which dad doesn’t ? unless your dad is filthy rich la)

5 adults had a splashing good time for dinner with 6 dishes, 1 giant traditional soup pot and steamed rices at only M69.80++. The final bill came up to around RM80+(service & govt tax). Not bad since we were stuffed to death by then. I can’t really taste the dishes well due to my ‘long battle with cold’ but my family said excellente!.

Types of special set meal available at Tai Thong Restaurant are RM49.80++(4 pax), RM69.80++(6 pax), RM98.00++(10 pax), RM198.00++(10 pax) and RM298.00++(10 pax).

There’s another promotion - 38 special dishes for lunch and dinner. These dishes range from RM6.00++ to RM8.00++.

Also dim sum at Tai Thong is available at RM2.50++ per plate.

I’m not sure when all these promotions will end but I’m pretty sure I will visit them again soon. Maybe I have something to blog about then…yes about food and something else which I failed to capture during my visit there last Saturday.

that’s quite a bargain ye got there; considering the amount of food u 5 guys managed to stuff thru’ ur gullets, i paid more than a 100 bucks, having supper at chilli’s. (sis suddenly felt famished after watching movie!) tho’ we did get free drinks refills. there seems to be an opposite correlation between the food i eat n the price that i have to pay!
