Italy’s hero, Marco Materazzi. France’s villian, Zinedine Zidane. I’ve never seen a tackle like that before, like a bull thrusting it’s horn to the chest of a man. Woooo! A heavily paid price.

Finally it’s over. Back to normal daily life. Waiting for EPL.

It’s an unfair called. Referee 1,2&3 didn’t see it. Only referee 4 saw it in the video. If that’s the case, Australia shouldn’t have lost due to the unfair penalty called. Poor Zidane.

it’s a pity zidane had to leave the penultimate game of his life like that… somehow, i don’t think it’s something someone like zidane would normally do - materazzi must have done something to provoke him… oh well, it’s all over now, back to normal…how many more days to EPL again?

Let’s remember the game for the good things that happened during the game rather than the bad ones - it was at least an exciting game with both teams playing to win rather than being afraid to lose. That Zidane would head butt Materazzi, well, provoked or otherwise, violence in any form shouldn’t be tolerated . Even if Materazzi was really provoking Zidane, it was probably best to have just let the football do the talking. Let’s look forward to South Africa 2010 now !!

Pille, I watched Men’s Final until I’m sure Nadal lose it…then I go to sleep. Hahaha…not that I support Fed. Prometeuz, I think it is fair because a 4th referee can do that. Bryan, hey you’re sad because WC is over or because your team lost ? Neo, I don’t like Fed but I him. Laksa, yeah a pity. I thought he will go out on a high note. Wonder what did Materazzi said to him. EPL ? umphhh about a month… Ummizz, did you yell/cry/laugh when Italy won ? Moz Monster, oh yes both teams really played beautiful football. Maybe Zidane was feeling the pressure, thus he did the most evil thing…physical violence.

some have reported that materazzi said something racist against zidane… if that is the case, that probably suggests why zidane attacked materazzi…after all, the issue of race is a emotionally charged issue for everyone. its an issue we all hold close to our hearts..a racial slur, attack, etc. touches everyone in profound ways…

its said that materazzi said something racist againts zidane if that is the case, it probably suggests why zidane attacked materazzi… the issue of race is an issue of profound importance to everyone…its an emotionally charged issue…racial slurs, racial attacks can’t be just ignored. we all take it to heart seriously…as zidane would have too.
