Weeeeeee what a race! I enjoyed yesterday’s race very very much. Kimi’s lead from pole did not last long as he pitted far earlier then the other front runners. From then on it was M. Schumacher leading all the way to the chequered flag with Massa not far behind making a picture perfect photo finish. And the fact that Michael won this race in Hockenheim, Germany make it even sweeter.
So where is Aloooonsooooo ? He sounds like a history to me. Poor thing, he finished fifth in his ailing Renault car. Almost all the Michelin runners had some kind of grip problem with their cars.
With this race over, Michael is behind Alonso by only 11 points!!! So near…and if Michael is to win all the remaining 6 races, he will be world champion. Of course this is a hard feat to achieve. For constructor’s championship, Renault now leads Ferrari by 10 points only. I must say, Massa has recently improved his driving tremendously and has helped Ferrari close the gap to Renault by a lot. I was amazed with the fact that Massa managed to match Michael’s pace, not just this race but for the past few races as well. Bravo Massa, I guess I’m wrong about you.
Top 8: M. Schumacher, F. Massa, K. Raikonnen, J. Button, F. Alonso, G. Fisichellan, J. Trulli and C. Kliena.
Bernie Ecclestone has confirmed that Hockenheim will not host the German Grand Prix in 2007. Nurburgring will be the only German race next year. So long Hockenheim!
