I’m back!!! Back from nowhere actually. Since my food-poisoning episode, my tummy has not been behaving well. A lot of gases man! I keep burping after heavy meals.
One fine day which was last Wednesday, while driving back from work I suddenly felt short of breath. There was something in my windpipe. Ohh I panicked. I was alone. I kept breathing hard. Stupid ideas start coming out from my funny mind…the ‘what if’. What if I pass out while driving? What if I die while driving? I drank lots of water for fear that I might stop breathing and to drown that ’something’ in my windpipe. Wuahahahaha…of course I can laugh now.
I finally managed to crawl home and told my mom. Dad quickly fetched me to clinic. I went to my company’s panel but it was a long queue. “Gilar kar….saya orang ke-11.” Ohh more panic. Maybe I can die anytime soon. Told dad to go to another clinic and registered my name for being a first-timer…took so long. Ahh where’s my ‘minyak kapak’. Weeeee I’m no. 2. Can breath more easily. Go back to car to take my bottle water. Gulp gulp gulp. Stupid ‘thing’ just won’t ‘tenggelam’.
And you know what the doctor said ????
It’s just your imagination lah. There’s nothing wrong with your lungs.
Yeah but there’s something in my windpipe!!!
I drink lots of warm water, take cough/phlegm/antibiotic medicine on time and sleep without aircond (urgghhh..only plain fan) yet my phlegm won’t go away. Sure that ’something’ or I called that my ‘kahak pepejal’ did subsided but sometimes it came back up my throat. Every morning and night, my chest feels heavy due to the phlegm.
So my friend, do you have any tips on how to clear up my very stubborn phlegm? I’ve tried honey, lime juice and ‘ubat batuk cap ibu and anak’ but still the phlegm emerged victorious.
HELP!

Wow … get well soon. I guess you have to just keep yourself well hydrated so that the phlegm won’t be thick and get stuck wherever it is stuck in now.

My friend had the same problem last week. Her doctor gave her some liquid medication to clear the phlegm. Maybe you can just go straight to the pharmacist & ask. Anyway, I hope that you can claim victory over the phlegm soon.

Jemima, I’m taking 2 types of cough medicine currently. Will resort to ‘Chinese herbs’ later. And how are you feeling? Good I hope. Dreamcatcher, hmm why gargle with salty water and eating peanut butter can help? Urgghh the chanting stuff for sure will let me puke all the phlegm out…I should try that out
