Happy PIGGY Year! Oink! Oink! Kiong He! Kiong He! I woke up to a Sunday morning with great hopes. After all it was CNY ‘chor yat’ (day 1), the day to kick start my ang pow collecting season and mahjong love affair. I did the usual stuff - brush teeth, bring Chester to potty, read newspaper…then the most unfortunate thing happened to me.
I felt a sharp pain behind my back waist. The unfortunate me was nearly crushed to tears. For God’s sake, it was really painful. I couldn’t walk fast, couldn’t sit still, couldn’t squat properly and I need to put a hand behind my waist all the time (tsk like pregnant lady!). Sleeping was out of the question too. My waist feel like it’s going to fall off anytime soon. And I’m still clueless as to how could I have sprained my waist so easily?
Oh yeah however collect any pows I did (plenty!) from our visiting relatives and play mahjong I did too. 
How could a horrific accident like that dampen my CNY hopes? Tell ya one thing though. I gave up on mahjong just before I can heat up my seat. No! not due to waist pain. Heroes was calling to me.
I’m a sucker for Heroes.

I wanna share my back-pain history. My back felt abit sore for some time, but just abit sore. Few times in the past. One day, despite the soreness, I went to play basketball. During the game, my lower muscle just sort of ’snapped’! It really felt like as if something was torn. Very strong stinging pain. I couldn’t lean forward, side, or backwards. At that time, I quickly dashed to the basketball pole and hugged it - I thought my upper body was going to detach from my legs!! It was damn painful. That night I took a painful 15 minutes just to sit up from my lying position on bed - to go to the toilet. Next day terus went to SJMC. Took some muscle-relaxant pills and I was ok after that night. It was a side-effect due to a sinusitis medication that I was taking - I suspect. Anyway, I have stopped the medication and I am ok now. Dramatic eh.

whoa… if u spent ur new yr quietly just by lounging at home, i’d claim mine as pretty ‘banging’!! there were loud noises of fire crackers and lion dances at every hour during the day and fireworks at night.
