Preface: This is my chronicle of a group of 4 individual embarking on the perilous Mount Kinabalu climb plus other never-try-before activities in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah Malaysia.
Let me first introduce you to the 4 exceptional and ahem brave human beings. They are Dreamcatcher, Jidane (both are my colleagues), my sister, the little monkey and of course myself.
Although the trip cover nearly a week but in actual I feel it’s too short. There’re many more interesting places that we missed out due to time constraint. We decided to climb Mount Kinabalu last, after we have enjoy other activities in KK because we knew our body will certainly ache like mad.
Kota Kinabalu is a small pleasant town; you can walk from one end to the other in less than an hour (based on my judgment la). Every thing is so near to each other that you don’t even need a car! Walk with you legs baby! Then there is always the sea view to great you every morning especially if you’re going to the market. I still remember the exceptional sea view from the back door of where we stayed. Go to the loo… ahh there’s the sea. Bush my teeth… ahh there’s the sea. Wash my face… ahh there’s the sea.
Speaking of car, I just love the way they drive. There’s no road bully or careless driver. Everything is in slow steady pace except for this one taxi that we took on the way back from KK Park after the climb. I decided to sleep along the 2 hours drive rather than look and worry at his driving skill. Just say that during my sleep, I got tossed to the left and right multitude of times.
In total we took more than 2 thousand photos! Can you believe it?
Anyway KK rocks! If climbing is not your passion then try something else but make sure you visit KK.
