I brought Chester to the vet last weekend and guess what we found? He has ear mites on both ears. I think the ear mites have been bothering him for quite awhile. Hopefully he could forgive me for not taking him to the vet sooner. Sis and me bought nearly RM100 worth of dog treats for him. *rasuah* 
Usually I only need to clean his ears once a week but with these ear mites thingy, I clean his ears on 2 or 3 alternate days and sometimes EVERYDAY. My initial conclusion was that we live in a humid environment thus sweaty and that explain the large amount of wax discharge found in his ears. Believe me they’re A LOT, usually in mahogany color and smelly!
The vet cleaned Chester’s ears with ear cleaner and then adds a few drops of Frontline mite/tick prevention solution into his ears. He was moaning but I wasn’t sure whether he was in pain or because it was soothing. He got a jab too. Pity pity my dear doggy. I didn’t even know that we can apply Frontline solution into dog’s ears! The vet gave me a prevention solution for ear mites to be applied into Chester’s ears later.
Ear mites are contracted through cats/dogs or other domestic animals but then funny la because Chester never plays with any other dogs/cats also. Then I remember that his makeshift bed is a rug made of carpet material. So that’s where the mites have been hiding and laying eggs. I’m guilty as charged! More treats coming soon ar, Che.
