This is my final KK Travelogue post. Quite a boring one.
28th March 2007 Wednesday (Day 7) Last Day
The last day of our KK trip was the worst of all plainly because our entire body aches like hell especially our legs (what else?)! Toilet visiting is a pain in the ass. The moment we’re into the action of sitting or squatting down, we would be screaming for help. It is the same story for walking and climbing stairs.
Hehe so if anyone of you are planning a trip to climb Mount Kinabalu, make sure you enjoy other activities first before making the climb. Believe me, you won’t ‘larat’ go anywhere after coming down.
But hey, if you’re as tough as us then you’re good. Think ‘SHOPPING’
So at 7.30am, we hopped on a taxi and made our way to Kota Kinabalu Fish Market (opposite Step-In Lodge). It’s an outdoor fish market beside the sea and I really like it a lot. Though the stench is unbearable leh! Hahaha what you expect?
We bought Kertas prawns for RM5 and 2 x Kerapu fishes for RM3. They’re really cheap.

To keep our prawns and fishes fresh, we bought a polystyrene box (RM9) at the market BUT there isn’t any dried ice available as the ‘dried ice’ van has gone back home. We’re too late!!! So we used normal ice.
After that we revisited ‘Pasar Ikan Masin’ and Filipino Market. Woooooohooo! The end result? I exhausted all my cash lor! We walked back to our hotel after that…I repeat WE WALKED BACK to our hotel which is about a good 15minutes away with goods in tow and ‘hurting’ legs. We didn’t have much time left by then because our transport is coming at 12pm sharp.
2 cars from the tour agency came and picked us up. I wonder why they need 2 cars for 4 people. Right after we were dropped off at Terminal 2, I found that my digital camera and sweater were missing. Worst of all, I have no recollection of where I’ve placed ‘em. Did someone steal my camera from the luggage trolley? 1/3 of my KK climb photos were still in the camera!!!

After a very complex memory track back (hahaha) and reconstructed scenario, we’ve come to realized that I’ve placed ‘em in the car. I quickly called the tour agency but they told me the guy who fetched us to the airport, his handphone (of all day) is faulty and they have no way to contact him.
To cut the long story short, I got back my digi cam and sweater few days later.
And I got to endured several days worth of nagging parents as well….telling me how careless I am, blah blah blah as usual.
That’s it!
I hope you’ve enjoyed reading my KK travelogue as much as I have enjoyed writing them. Cheers to all.
