Just like durian, you can either love petai or hate petai. There’s no in-between. I for one love durian but am disgusted by the smell of petai mainly because of the stinking components we extricate after eating it.
My dad bought a bouquet of petai from a roadside stall the other day. He’s the petai lover in our family. Grandma eat petai too. Mom, sis and me are the ‘petai haters’ in the family.

When dad brought back the petai, Chester was chasing the bouquet like it is the most aromatic smell on earth. Grrr not you too Chester!
I have one question. Have anyone of you feed your dog raw petai? I wanted to but don’t dare. Scare he might felt sick after that.
Dad’s famous sambal petai dish. Yup he cooked that dish.

So are you like me? A petai hater? Say lar you’re a petai hater…join my club.

I don’t mind eating petai, and the belacan that goes with it (yummmy!). But then my tummy will have some strange reaction afterwards… abit scary… Sometimes I need to go toilet 3-4 times in a day… but thank God for wireless broadband (*hint hint*)… LOL…..

Both durain and petai are my favorites too. But I have stop taking durain for a longtime. I like the sambal belacan petai. Normally, I can only eat at Mixed rice shop as my family hate it.

I used to hate petai too until one day I tried tasting the sambal belacan out of curiosity. Guess what? It has been my favourite food since! You won’t believe it until you really try. Sambal belacan with petai and udang is the best! And I just had it during lunch

Wow, I love this food a lot. Last time used to eat a lot, but now eat less, because it makes my mouth has a kind of odor, even the waste in toilet smell like it… yak.
