Squeakkkkky Squeak

If you’ve been following my blog, you should know what Chester’s ‘failed mission’ is. If you don’t know, never mind…keep on reading.

For weeks now, Chester has been working as a night security guard in our home. We didn’t ask him to. He volunteers himself.

His night job includes guarding our front door, sniffing my car bumper and run like a mad guard from my car’s left tyre to right tyre when he’s out ‘pottying’.

He’s been dedicating his leisure night guarding our house because of one intruder: Mr. RAT!!!

I myself saw Mr. Rat twice at our car porch but I have no idea why Chester is so interested in sniffing my car out (especially the front side).

Fast forward yesterday morning, I was watching F1 at about 3am when I heard dogs barking at our backyard. Being a scary cat myself, I wake my mom and there she goes checking the sound out. Just then I saw Mr. Rat come running in from out kitchen door to our dining area. WTH! How did Mr. Rat come into our house??

Mr. Rat hides himself behind the piano for a very long time. So long that my mom and maid were fast asleep at the dining table waiting for shy Mr. Rat to come out. They tried a couple of ways such as using stick, spray insect repellent and lure him with food but were to no avail.

With all the excitement happening in the dining area, Chester had no idea at all because we kept him away at our sitting hall. But Mr Rat is too adventurous. He decided to visit Chester and there goes all the barking, chasing and yelling. Chaos!!! Mom, maid and Chester were all trying to arrest Mr. Rat at once.

Ohmygod it was so hilarious looking at Chester. There was Mr. Rat scampering in front of him but due to the lack of paw-tiles floor friction, Chester only manages to dash clumsily. In the end, Mr. Rat runs back to the piano and into our toilet. Then from toilet he runs to our kitchen and maid finally got hold of him. Poor Mr. Rat was deported back to our backyard.

With all the exciting drama unfold you must be wondering where I was eh? Sis, grandma and me were safely tuck inside our bedroom. Dad said he heard shrieking but were too lazy to get up.

What time did we sleep? 4.30am!

Initially we thought Mr. Rat from car porch is the same Mr. Rat that intrudes our home but yesterday night, Chester and maid saw Mr. Rat car porch again. Wow! How come we have so many rat visitors lately? Our house has never been infiltrate by rat before wor.

Aiyor! How come so many rats! There are “rat-traps” easily available from hardware shop - neh those super-hard glue that can stick them. Put a biscuit or something as a bait. Btw how come my counter says your IP address is Japanese arr…

rats are usually attracted to dark hidden spaces and food sources. maybe its time for some outdoor spring cleaning. also invest in one or two rat traps.

i say keep mr rat. he’s an ideal fitness trainer for chester. furthermore… free!!!! … n why in the world didnt u guys jut move the piano aside instead of waiting for him to show his face?!

Narrowband, aiyo mana tau got rat in our house Coz I’m using Japan server. Bryan, NO!! I don’t want a cat. I want a dog! Hedo, hmm my mom said if a rat trap have been use to capture a rat, the trap won’t work on another rat coz of the smell. Dunno true or not. Dreamcatcher, thanks Narrowband. Yup piano is one hell of a calorie burner. Even my dad alone couldn’t move it. Daniel, yes if his name is Jerry. Jemima, no…Chester the clumsy Ratbuster. Wuching, eh no good ma. Better let Mr. Rat go. He didn’t harm us.

I know this is kinda out of topic but…. do you play piano? Cos’ I love em - even though I can’t play it. Would love to hear you play it. Any chance of you performing for us? You could record it and post it here . Right. Back to Mr. Rat and Chester the Cape Crusader I’ll have to Chester for showing his gut and being the man of the house Looks like he’s the protector of the family with a mission too. I don’t have a solution to your ratty dilemma here, as I don’t want to jeopardize the harmony in your housewhole by suggesting you introduce a new member to it… a cat Chester would kill me for that *shudder*. I wouldn’t want Chester cutey to hate me mah.

Kleio, sorry to disappoint you…I don’t play the piano and neither can my family. Hmmm maybe I’ll blog about this. He’s been smelling my car tyres non-stop…aiyoo headache I tell you. Thing is we didn’t see anymore rat..fhewww… Not only will Chester kill you..I would too. Hehe I HATE CAT… Hehehe
