After reading yesterday’s comments, I’ve decided to open another PayPal account. But not before giving one last try at changing my account’s password and security questions.
I clicked the ‘forget password’ link and an email was sent to me informing that my password has been reset. Good news ya? I managed to change my PayPal password and security questions. Yahooo!! Crossing my fingers I login using my new password. Guess what happened next?
Sonofabiatch!!!!!! That fraud site is still there. I gave up liao.
I can’t even click those links that I underlined (refer pict below) because this same stupid site will appear!

My advice to you guys. Never keep lots of $$ in your PayPal account. You’ll never know what will happen next. I couldn’t believe it man! PayPal security is so easy to breach!
So now while waiting to authenticate my credit card (have to wait till end of the month), I’ve changed my PPP, textlink-ads, etc payment account to my new one.
Btw, how do you inform PPP to send payment to my new PayPal account when PPP already sent it to my old account? I emailed to PPP but so far they have not responded.
p/s: I’m still waiting for PayPal to reply me. So far their ‘advices’ have done nothing wonderful.
pp/s: Eh actually having a couple of credit cards in hand is good news. Know why? Because if you need to open another PayPal account, you need another credit card. You can’t use the same credit card assigned for your old account for the new account.

i recieved the same email about paypal wanting to authenticate the emails/accounts. don’t.ever.click.on.these.emails. Paypay is not easy to breach, more often that not, it’s us that gave our passwords away. I hope Paypal will do something about this…

It’s possible you might have some kind of malicious program in your computer causing the fake site to pop up all the time. I recommend you download & install the free programs Ad Aware (www.lavasoftusa.com) and Spybot Search & Destroy (www.safer-networking.org). Ad Aware will search for adware and Spybot searches for spyware. Run a system scan and see whether anything turns up. Good luck :)
