I officiated our brand new oven by baking my first cookie called Oats Tuiles. It’s suppose to call Almond Tuiles but I replace almond with oats. This is a very simple cookie to make. Just spend around 1hour.
These are the ingredient: 60g Planta margarine, 60g icing sugar, 2 egg whites, 65g plain flour, few drops of vanilla essence, few grams of oat flakes.
Preheat oven to 190 degreeC. Grease baking tray.
left pict: Cream Planta and icing till light and fluffy.
right pict: Put in egg whites and flour slowly.
left pict: Place mixture in teaspoon onto baking tray. Flatten thinly with a wet fork. Sprinkle with oat flakes.
right pict: Bake for 10~15minutes.
Taa daaa…..I promise you not only did it look yummy, it tasted delicious too. Even before I begin to bake, Chester has already park himself near the kitchen.
This recipe can make about 20~30 pieces.
You must be wondering what does Tuile means. Tuile pronounced as Tweel is French for tile. They do look like tiles yeah?
