This week’s photohunt theme is tough and I think my pictures selection is alright.
I can think of 3 classic utensils that we use everyday to put “food in our mouth”.
1. Fork, knife and spoon (majority of us in the whole wide world uses these)

2. Chopsticks (Chinese, Japanese, Koreans)

3. Bare hand (Indian, Malays)

I’m a Malaysian Chinese and I’m glad that I live in a multi-racial backgrounds. You must be thinking that as a Chinese I will use chopsticks to eat right? No man! I use fork and spoon 98% of the time. Funny thing is whenever I use a pair of chopstick, my meal become tastier.
If curry or belacan is served, then I’ll be using the ultimate utensil: our hand! Try licking your hand clean after a hearty meal. Now that’s bliss. Better still, sit on the floor and eat using your hand. Double bliss!
I don’t think there are any other ways to eat besides the above-mentioned 3 groupings but if you know any please share with us.
Have a jolly weekend.

Eating with bare hands is a treat which Western culture do not seem to get at times. :) There used to be a restaurant in the Philippines called “Kamayan” where you have an option to just use your bare hands and you won’t be scoffed at. :D

That is a good one. Eating with fingers is still the best especially an Indian meal.

I usually use spoon and fork also. More convenient compared to chopsticks.

I only use my hands to eat Malay food, because it feels funny (and rude, sometimes) to eat Chinese foods with my hands, LOL. That’s a very funny way of thinking, I know

ei, nice! I seldom use hand to eat, but I too admit that using hand is tastier, don’t know why, maybe what put into mouth is life, not dead stuff like metal spoon.
