Few weeks back we have an unwelcome visitor to our neighborhood.
Meet Miss Zebra (name suggested by my friend), the black/white stray dog. Well, she’s not exactly a stray dog since she’s wearing a dog collar (unfortunately without a tag). We don’t know where she came from.
Miss Zebra is very friendly. See she even pose for me. She’s too friendly. She has practically rules the whole neighborhood. Everyone of us has stories to tell about Miss Zebra. Once she loves coming into our porch and sleep under my car everyday. Sorry to say I have to ’shoo’ her out for fear of Chester getting ticks.
I tied a couple of strings at the gate to block her coming back in. She found another hole to come in. In the end I use Chester’s fence to block the whole gate. Then she found another tiny hole but the hole is quite small for her. Besides she’s getting fatter by the day (neighbors’ feeding her). Now she doesn’t come into our porch that often because she has hard time getting out everytime. Fat mah. Wuahaha
Everyday, she follows Chester and me when we have our evening walk. She’ll run and tease Chester. Chester kind of like ’suka tak suka’. 
Sometimes the 3 of us will run together from one end of the road to the other end. Great feeling.
She reminds me of this famous song: “I will follow you…follow you no matter where you go…”
Saying hello to each other. “NOT SO CLOSE PLEASE!!!” shouted Che-Cheh.
When there are strangers passing by, Miss Zebra will chase after them be it a car/bicycle/people. At night she will bark too when there is stranger. It’s like getting an extra protection from God’s creature.
I’m happy she came into our neighborhood. And I will be sad when she leaves one day.

aww!! she’s so cute! i love strays, because unlike how horrible some may say (they bite..they have rabies..they’re dirty), they’re the friendliest darlings you can find! and loyal too! just feed them, and they will hang around the neighbourhood guarding u..serious!! i play with so many strays, they’re not stray to me anymore! they’re my kai chai kai luis!! =P heheheh she makes chester looks big! or maybe the other way round..chester makes her look small!! hehehe

Wuching, no lar. My house only allow 1 dog.
Huei, I’m a bit wary of strays lo. I caught 2 ticks on Chester already.
She’s about 1/2 the size of Chester.
Jam, dunno lo. Cannot la my house compound not big enough for 2 dogs. Must corner house baru boleh.

Dreamcatcher, maybe the owner don’t want her.
Hedo, yup very cute. She ruins our newly tarred road with her toys! (plastic, mineral bottle, newspaper and even bulu ayam)
Maybe because they don’t plan to have a dog. I’m basically terrified of ticks. Already I killed 2 ticks found on Chester.

Too bad you cannot adopt her. It will be a great companion for Chester. I always feels sorry for strays. Try Frontline topical flea application, it really works. If there’s fleas on your pup, they will fall die and fall off.

Dawn, yes I use Frontline but only when Chester got ticks.
Vhanded, that’s brutal. A couple of stray dogs in my area got caught by bandaraya too.

Hi…I also love it when strays adopt me. Ha ha ha..but not their guests (ticks)!! I had a stray once, which I called “Cruiser”..coz he loved cruising the neighbourhood! He was a happy dog for a few years..then someone cruelly beat his mouth with a hammer, which left an opening gap in his jaw. Sadly, my parents only saw him when the wound was infected badly. My dad tried his best to clean it and put some antibiotic cream…. After a few days, we never saw him again. Sigh..this reminded me of him. Ok…actually, wanted to drop by to wish u n your family “gong xi gong xi”…..have a very good year of the rat!!
