Pu’ Er tea is a likable tea. All my family members fell in love with this tea at first sip. It’s not bitter or sweat. Its taste is very natural. I feel like I’m drinking water that somehow contain some tea smell. Ahhh I don’t know how to explain.
The tea doesn’t leave any bitter taste in my mouth and that’s why I like it a lot.
Pu’ Er tea normally comes in the shape of a disk from Pu’ Er county in Yunan, China. That I just learnt few days ago. I think The Stars cover this story few days back too.
Me: Dad, no tea in the teapot liao.
Dad: I’m making hot water.
Me:
Ohhh by the by this is the only tea that doesn’t keep my dad awake at night.

I love my tea strong, so I enjoy Ginseng Oolong, Da Hong Pao, or the spring teas. Pu’er is good, but it’s a little too plain for my liking ! But credits to you for drinking chinese tea. I know I will get in trouble with coffee lovers for saying this, but I think chinese tea is better than coffee !

That tea is really good and expensive too. My mum bought a few pack to Malaysia during her trip to China.. You know, you can put some Pu’Er Tea into the chicken soup. The taste is nice and has antioxidant.. try that next time ya…

Moz, strong tea will make you stay widely awake right? I drink both tea and coffee but not always. Plain water is better. hehe
Keeyit, thanks for the tip. Will try it.
Hedo, yalor so hard. We break the tea disc into tiny bits and keep it that way. Easier ma when want to drink.
Alexallied, in what way?

Pu’ Er Tea is a good tea. I like those Pu’ Er Tea aged 20+ years. One should use warm water (80 deg Cel) for brewing the tea and I like drinking them at room temperature level.

No wor … strong tea, even coffee can’t stop me from sleeping. It’s really an excuse, if you ask me. I think if you are as tired as I am at the end of each day, sleep comes easy. Anyways, if you like Pu’er, you should try the Gyokuro teas from Japan.
