It wasn’t raining in Melbourne. It was so hot with track temperature of over 50 degree C and guess what? Only 8 out of 22 cars finished the 2008 F1 Australian GP.
What a cracker! Dramas all the way to chequered flag baby. It was one of the best F1 season opener in recent times. I can’t imagine what will happen at Sepang, Malaysia in 1 week time.
Well, let me summarize the race here…
1. This is Ferrari’s worst start of the season with both cars retiring without a single point. Well almost! Fhew!!! Barrichello was disqualified from his 6th position due to running a red light in the pit lane. As a consequence of that Kimi managed to salvage 1 point from this race. Both drivers especially Kimi had to endured topsy turvy positions during the race. One moment he was in 15th place the next time he was in 8th position. Not long after he was 3rd and then he was in 7th then 8th and finally he retired from the race with 4 more laps to go.
2. Three safety cars period.
3. All 7 cars plus Nakajima who rejoined the race later was awarded championship points.
4. 14 cars retired!!!
5. Final few incredible laps between Alonso and Kovalainen. I gotta
Alonso. He ain’t world champion for nothing.
6. Hamilton drove a trouble free race. (so unfair!!!) Hahaha
Thank you to the elimination of traction control. Because of that I had so much excitement. Here’s to more wonderful F1 races! Cheers.
Final results:
1. Hamilton - 10
2. Heidfeld - 8
3. Rosberg - 6
4. Alonso - 5
5. Kovalainen - 4
6. Nakajima - 3
7. Bourdais - 2
8. Raikkonen - 1

Good race to Hamilton. This guy has so much passion. Just look at him jumping up and down during the trophy presentation ceremony. I wonder why he had to weigh himself before going out to the stage

Wuching,
Dreamcatcher, he thought he looks good with beard.
Keeyit, yahooo! exciting race yeah.
Jam, this is the first time I saw Hamilton loosen up on podium. He was quite dull when Alonso was there. I think they gotta determine how much weight each drivers lost during the race. That’s why.
Ah Lost, F1 very noisy huh? Good la your friend. You should become one too coz F1 is really cool! hahaha
Dawn, ohh yes! I got my F1 fever liao.
