To make crunchy garlic bread you’ve got to use this kind of bread which can be bought from ‘roti man’. Forget sandwich bread. They don’t taste as good as this. This bread cost only RM1.40 with about 14 slices in a pack.

I have a bit of spare cucumber, frozen potatoes and lettuce from the fridge. So I thought why not make a simple salad with balsamic vinegar and salt as the simple dressing. Ohh and I couldn’t live without big onions. Must add in!
I think I’m quite good at combining left-over stuff from the fridge and whip out outrageously delicious meal. Don’t ya think so? My Ah Ma agreed with me.

Anyone want to hire me to make a food TV programme for whipping out good meals from left-over stuff? Hahaha

Ahhh, those bread from the roti man is the best bread ever. I still remember it only cost 50 cents or less if buy from the bakery itself for a loaf during my “old” days! I can’t those kind of bread here, so gotta use a french loaf for our homemade garlic bread.

It looks absolutely mouth watering !!! Yeah, that’s what the call Hainan / Hailam bread (depends on where you are, the names are different). It’s pretty good, and they’ve started selling it in Giant lately. I used to wait by the roadside for my rotiman everyday to buy my Hainan bread. Ah … the old days …
