Weh weh I don’t understand la. Why every time when we have news about petrol increase people will swarm petrol station the day before the increase? My house junction was blocked yesterday night. The jam was I think 1km long. Hahaha…
Think about it la. Even if you pump yesterday, how much can you save? What more… your burn more fuel just by queuing up. Why so kiasu one? Increase mah increase lor. What can you do about it? Change lifestyle la. Don’t eat out too much. Car pool. Take public transport. Plant your own fruits and veggies. Don’t buy things you don’t need or use. Save! Save! Save!
Here’s what I foresee with the RM2.70/litre increase:
1. More cars will rot in secondhand car dealer’s garage.
2. Sales of new cars will suffer a minor blow but it will not be long since Malaysian is kiasu people. Need-car-to-show-off.
3. EVERYTHING will increase (actually everything is already increasing). Good bye McD.
4. Crime rates NAIK!!!
Lastly here’s what I don’t understand… why salary no increase?

Haha, I agree with you. I heard some of the aunties and uncles who said they don’t bother to queue up and cause even further massive jam coz it’s just a one time saving. Not to mention how much fuel is wasted for queuing up for an hour or 2. Speaking about crime rates naik, that is pretty alarming and scary.

for many communities i know it could make the difference between ikat perut n survival. some people here are earning abt rm7.00 to rm18.00 per day. how are they going to survive another round of high prices. KL people sometimes do not know how life is away from there bcos u r sheltered by LRTs etc etc etc. people still use generators which use fuel, long boats…no public transportation exist.. already children are paid Rmn1.00 to Rm1.50 an hour for a few hours work menial labor a day to supplement families

Khengsiong,
wah so early close.
Hedo, becoz if we don’t we will lose out in the end. Too late to chg govt now. Heh
Hcfoo, yes even with a typical RM2k…it’s hard to survive leh. Moreover not many of us earn RM2k. A lot of us earn even lesser.
Bengbeng, now I know. Thanks for enlightening me.
FeR, that’s if workplace is near lo. Is your NZ workplace near to your house?
Lex, me too.

Yes, very much so. A head of broccoli is now $2.99. Before we can get it for $1.99 or $1.39. The essentials like milk, bread and eggs all went up. A gallon of milk is as expensive as a gallon of gas. Better to just eat grass!!!

I don’t look forward to driving anymore… No wait, actually I look forward to driving, just not the refueling part… Sigh. Hard to change lifestyle. Government can do more than just pushing us to this limit.. Like the famous article being circulated around the internet now, it says government should review the tax structure on cars. Stop protecting proton.

Narrowband, hey are you back in Malaysia? I’m striving to change. What can change I change. Now they’re saying no more fuel increase until end of the year. I don’t believe him anymore. What a liar.
