One of my goal this year is to learn using the sewing machine. Before you gasp for horror I think I need to explain one thing. I’ve used a sewing machine before but it was eons ago. Right now, I’m doing some sort of revision with grandma as my teacher.
I have some extra Ikea fabrics sitting in my closet for like 4-5 years already and every time I open my closet they seem to call me “Che-Cheh, when are you going to turn me into a beautiful pillowcase?”… something like that.
Finally I’ve decided to take control of my laziness.
The first thing I sew with my mom’s decades old sewing machine was a pillowcase. I think the fabric that I choose (pointing below) is ideal.

And what do you think of this bag? It’s designed and sewn by me. This is the 2 views from the bag.

Sometimes I like the bag handle and sometimes I don’t. Too bad I ran out of the bag original fabric (white). Doesn’t matter. I simply
and adore this bag! At first I thought of buying a green bag but heck time is tough. Better use what I have. So this is the result…my green and every day bag.
My last project is in the form of a cushion cover. Because I have little fabrics left, I have to make one side out of the norm. I cut and sew the 3 different fabrics into an artistic patchwork that I’m really proud of. The other side is a cool blue.

So do you love it?
p/s: I took about a month to do all that. Sometimes lazy creep in mah.
