It has been 3 days since Chester’s surgeries. His spirit is up but not quite 100%. Tired rather easily. He get multiple walking sessions as promised by me. 
His legs are less wobbly now. Getting up from lie down position is easier than standing up to lie down position. Still weak kua. I wonder whether this is normal. Are most dogs like that… having weak legs after a surgery?
Every night I will brush his teeth, massage his body and at the same time look for ticks. Then I’ll apply anti-tick ear medicine follow by pressing his hematoma ear before applying iodine to the wound. Apparently even after surgery, swelling of blood will still reappear. I have to press at his wound to take out the clotted blood. I look at Chester every time and funny how come he doesn’t show any pain. Smiling all the time. 
I think if we can successfully get rid of all the ticks in our home, we’ll be good for many years. This is because there are no more stray dog in our neighborhood. Wow-Wow and her puppies had left for good. 
They’re at PAWS.
The neighborhood is back to the old days. Quiet. Boring. No one to chase after the milkman or newspaper man. No frenzy barking sound is heard anymore except maybe Chester’s. I missed Wow-Wow. 
Her moments with us will always be cherished. The joy, the humor & the tension she created…ahh She really is one hell of a ’stray’ dog. A good one to keep actually.

So anyone if you’re interested to adopt a dog, please go to PAWS and adopt Wow-Wow. She’s smart, cool and good at guarding your home. According to my neighbor, Wow-Wow cried when they were taking her away.

Molly, before you get one do think of the long term commitment. Having a pet is of course enjoyable but you also must think whether you can take care of the dog well-beings…as in financial wise..enough money to buy food and vet bills? time wise…spend time to play and walk your dog, are you willing to pick up your dog’s pooh..hehe etc etc. If your answer is all yes then welcome to the club.

Good to see Chester recover already. I can see you are very patient when taking care of him. Honestly, I do not have such patient as you. That’s why I cannot have any pets. Hmm.. in the kampung easier, street dogs are everywhere. Yeah actually they left for good.
