I wouldn’t say Singapore GP is the best F1 race in 2008 but it’s definitely entertaining & action-packed. This race has got almost everything - spectacular crashes, yellow flag, safety cars, retirements, stop-go penalty, mayhem pit stops, lolly-pop man being run over, disappointment, history created - first night race, luck, first win and so on.
And this is Ferrari’s 2nd horrendous result. Their 2nd non-point scoring races and 4th non-point scoring race for Kimi. Aduh hai!!! I was cursing Hamilton again. And 5 seconds later Kimi crashed!
I better keep my mouth shut next time. So yeah Kimi’s hope of retaining the World Championship crown is over.
Massa has taken the fuel hose with him. Laid sprawling is a Ferrari crew.

I truly believe Hamilton will get the ultimate crowning glory when this season ends. Ferrari f***ed up too many times. Massa who’s currently 2nd in the world championship will eventually mess up his chances. Surely. Next year might be a good year for a better Massa although we has seen a better Massa this year. He certainly can improve.
F1 Singapore GP winner - Fernando Alonso

A first for Fernando & Renault (2008 season). Alonso must thanks his shining star - the crash that team mate Nelson Piquet ‘created’. After that it was chaos at the pit stop & the reshuffling of drivers’ race order.
Can’t wait for Narrowband’s F1 encounter at the night street of Singapore.

I missed the race. But my red team didn’t do well anyway, so I guess I didn’t miss out on much. :/

Neo, yes good luck. If it wasn’t for his team-mate Piquet accident and safety car… he wouldn’t have won.
Keeyit, welcome back. Didn’t know you were away until I read your blog.
MisSmall, it’s still entertaining but of course sad for Ferrari.

It was definitely a good experience, in terms of soaking in the F1 atmosphere, as well as photography. But as far as the race is concerned, there was so much of position-reshuffling. Alonso actually won from 15th! That said, how much of overtaking was there? Minimal…! So I wouldn’t say the race was good, but this can happen on any circuit (bad race). The race aside, I’d say Singapore as host has been very excellent in organizing and making the whole event a success. I bought the cheapest ticket, walked around the track, and found my best spot. Camped there since 6:30pm (rooted there after dinner) until the start of race at 8:00pm. I believe you would have enjoyed it if you were there as well. Psst… I betted on Hamilton to win! Sighhhhhhhhhhhh

Narrowband, I enjoyed looking at your F1 photos. So you lost how much for the bet?
Vhanded, yeah Sepang in big trouble. That’s why they want to have night race too.
