I’m supposed to publish this entry yesterday. Can you pretend today is Monday? Hahaha. Sorry friends, my site was down yesterday due to host server migration and upgrade. Everything is back to normal now. Feel free to drop by anytime.

Opps some of you who commented yesterday, well your comments will disappear into the internet black hole forever. Sorry for the mess.

Yesterday was the first day of the much-awaited 2008 Australian Open! 2 weeks of adrenalin pumping tennis, sweat drenched bodies, fist-up victory celebrations, flare of temper and languages and of course plenty of grunting.

2008 Australian Open

To me, I love Australian Open Grand Slam a little bit more than the others. Hmm I’m not sure why…maybe because this is the first Grand Slam of the year. Maybe because the AO atmosphere is so much fun. If I have the moolah I will surely go to Melbourne just for the slam. After witnessing 2 live tennis matches; Nadal vs Gasquet and Federer vs Sampras right at Shah Alam in November last year, watching tennis from the idiot box isn’t the same again.

I will as always support my 2 favourite tennis players; Justine Henin and Marat Safin. This year I will also support Rafael Nadal. I think Nadal has a very good chance to win AO Slam this year. All the best to 3 of them. Let’s bring Fed down…muahahahahar

The most significant changes to this year’s Australian Grand Slam is the new court blue surface which is made up of multiple layers of rubber-filled resin that can maintain less heat during the tournament. Yes a far cry from the previous green surface which was laid using pre-formed rubber mats.

There has been mixed review regarding this new surface. Some players like it and some like it not. Ball rebound is less, surface feel sticky…Ahhh we’ll see how this new surface fair throughout this 2 weeks.

Let’s slam!

I’m sure Nadal’s gonna love that surface very much

Eh, I didn’t know you support Safin. I don’t think he’ll be long in AO based on his current performance.

Hmmm… i think we should mention more about the women too in our blogs.
