I’m on AO Fever now! Yes!!! The first grand slam of 2006. Australian Open 2006 is coming to us LIVE from 16th-19th January. A bit early due to the facts that Commonwealth Games will be held at Melbourne from 15th-26th March and F1 Melbourne will be held at Melbourne(too) from 2nd-4th April. Read about Commonwealth Games’ Open Day at Wuching’s Journal.
Who can forget last year’s men’s and women’s single champion. They are none other than Marat Safin(miss you) and Serena Williams(miss her girl power shot!). I would like to see Serena Williams and Justine Henin-Hardenne in the Final. Forget Davenport and Sharapova la. As for men’s final, of course Marat Safin but guess what ? Safin and Nadal had pulled out of AO 2006 due to injury.
I guess I will be gunning for Roddick, Agassi and Gaudio instead.

Yeah, I remember the gruelling final between Federer and Safin. One of the best games I have watched. And it was on the Russian’s birthday to boot. Hehe.

Jeremy C, are you getting better today ?
I don’t like Sharapova’s ‘wailing’ when she hit the ball.
Dreamcatcher, don’t know who Michealla Krajicek is but I will watch out for her in the future.
Alah Dementieva is not a strong gal so don’t think she can whack the balls hard. Watch out for Mary Pierce though…a black horse(but dunno she’s playing or not)
Beer Brat, yes that was one of the best games I’ve watched. It’s nice to see someone whack Fed. kekekeke
Wu Ching, OK I will be praying hard.

che-cheh : yep, feel much better oredi
and agree on sharapova’s wailing – normally i just put the tv on mute…I prefer watching her to listening to her…hehe

u don’t know dementieva well enuff. she’s one of the hardest groundstroker in women’s tennis. even fed failed to return her strokes. the ball whiffed pass him, he looked where the ball was n shook his head… that was a priceless moment, heh!heh!
)
PP
alas! she’s also women’s tennis most underachiever n has the worst serves, … but that makes her games the more interesting; playing with her, tides go both way, anyone, be it the best or the worst can win or lose. when she’s supercharged… damn! i hope her luck turns to the better this year.
… n she does not groan, ya!!! that’s a war cry, NOT bedroom whispers!!
