Ohmygod this is one of the most entertaining men’s singles grand slam final in recent times. Hail :kowtow: both players, Novak Djokovic and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga for playing their best tennis yesterday.

Novak looked very tense at the start of the first set but then he became stronger and stronger. And that’s where Tsonga start to make a few too many unforced errors.

2008 Australian Open Men’s Singles champion, Novak Djokovic.

Novak Djokovic

He’s the first Serbian and youngest player (age 20) to win in Australian Open.

Final results: 4-6, 6-4, 6-3, 7-6

I’m a bit disappointed Tsonga didn’t win.

Next slam: French Open E/May

I’m so out of touch with tennis!!! More into motor racing, NASCAR. Will watch tennis when there’s nothing much to watch on TV!

I’m disappointed too that Tsonga didn’t win. I supported him in the final because Djokovic stopped Fed to the final. :grrr:
And yes, Tsonga has bright future ahead. It’s good to see new faces in the final. Btw, I’m enjoying AO’08 very much  Watched almost all of it

I like this guy very much. And his friend Maria (whom he loves to impersonate so much!!) won the Women’s title!! How matching! I recently watched one of his impersonations on Youtube and I must say he’s damn funny. Sporting fellow, he! And good, too, definitely!

mayb this is just a one-off air of dominance, something like baghdatis, he’ll get stronger but by then other guys would’ve catch up with his style n tone him back down to normalcy.
times sure fly pretty fast … 5-6 F1 and mondieu!! roland garros. :whew:

This picture makes him look like he’s from the 50s or something. LOL Phew, finally job’s done in Aussie Open. Let’s head for more hard courts and clay courts now.

Dawn, I don’t watch NASCAR

Narrowband, if you take tennis out of that guy…he can be a joker. I’ve seen him clowning around in the locker room before a tennis match.

Dreamcatcher, I think he’s one of the new shining star.

Hcfoo, I like that picture…sweet memories.
