Manchester United Asia Tour 2009: Malaysia XI vs Manchester United Match Day @ Bukit Jalil Stadium, Kuala Lumpur Malaysia 18th July 2009

Be forewarn: Expect even lesser today.

Today is match day. The day Manchester United ‘really’ kicked off their pre-season Asia tour. And you know what? OHMYGOD! I was stucked in the jam for like 3 hours plus. Arrived at the Bukit Jalil Stadium nearly 6pm! 1/2 hour late. I blamed the police. There were plenty of empty parking spaces and yet they shooed many of us away. Grrrr…

So I ended up like yesterday. Standing at the gate entrance. Sad eh. RM98 ticket and you get to stand at the entrance only. Wuahahaha If only I knew, I will get the RM58 ticket. DUH!!!!

Here are some of the photos I took.
NOTE: Shadows on the photos might be caused by people’s head & shoulders and also vignetting. I’m no pro. Kekeke

Scholes, Anderson, Rooney and who’s no. 23?

Hi Van de Sar! Hehe

My favorite shot for match day. Ogling at their asses. Wuahahaha

I can see Rooney’s flabby stomach from here. Hehe

Who’s no. 17? Nani? I think he was booed. I was too daze at that time.

Fans posing for the photographer.

You know you’re famous when you see yourself on the wide screen.

Half-time. This is the only time I managed to go INTO the stadium. FULL HOUSE!

Sea of REDS!

Please ignore the interference (referring to black shadows). Just concentrate on the lad in the middle. That’s Michael Owen making his debut.

Ben Foster in action! YAWN.

So that was it. I left the stadium with 15 minute to spare. I’m hot. I’m angry. I don’t feel alright.

You know what’s the funny part? We’re not allowed to bring food and drinks in the stadium ground. And yet during half-time, many people were buying their food through the fence hole! I’m wondering whether we’re the ‘happy’ jailers or they’re the smart sellers. Let me reiterate. What’s the point here?

So final score (read from internet later on)… see? I’m not that interested. I feel more of them on the TV then in the stadium looking at them live.

Angie Tan, I’m not sitting. I’m standing. Seriously. Standing near Red Gate at RM58 entrance. Easy to write this post because I have nothing to write about haha. Btw were you there?

Nice pictures! The only regret I have is I dun bring my DSLR along. Isn’t that recording devices are not allowed inside the stadium? So bad, I only managed to smuggle my pathetic digital camera in, only to find out someone sat next to me is holding a DSLR!

No. 23 is Johnny Evans. I made my journey at 3pm too, but I took train. And managed to reach the stadium at 4pm, got in and secured myself a nice seat! You should have started your journey earlier…

And you miss Owen’s debut goal too? You should have taken train like me, although it is crowded and you got squeezed off to the corner inside the train. But getting the best spot and every second of the game worth every sweat and misery.

Jam, they didn’t check for recording devices. Only food and drinks not allowed. Aiseh! I started my journey at 2.30pm. Reach the stadium 3pm plus but was stuck right in front of the stadium not moving grrrrr so mad at the police!!! No problem missing Owen’s goal for me. I like comfort haha so I don’t think I will go for the train.
