WimbledonWe are nearing the end of Wimbledon Grand Slam Championship. Hopefully it will end on schedule. Some say the rain is going to create havoc and delay matches to 3rd week.

Plenty of interesting matches today; Women’s Singles semi-finals and Men’s Singles quarter-finals. The line-ups are juicy and exciting, not be missed!

Women’s SFs Line-Up:
Justine Henin BEL (1) v Marion Bartoli FRA (18)
This is Bartoli first career Singles semi-final match. I welcome her advancement to the semis with eagerness. I’ve watched her losing in the 3rd round of French Open to Jankovic last month. Few days ago she defeated Jankovic again in the 3rd round, this time in Wimbledon. She went on and beat Krajicek in the QF. No chance for Bartoli in the semis though because Henin will pull through easily. Henin is ON FIRE!

Ana Ivanovic SRB (6) v Venus Williams USA (23)
Ana Ivanovic is 20 years of age. This sweet young lady has a really good fighting spirit. She almost lose to Vaidisova in QF but she came in strong and knocked her counterpart out (saving 4 match points). Will she be able to overpower Venus? Nah I don’t think so. In terms of experience and power shot, Venus has the upper hand.

Women’s Final line-up (my prediction): Justine Henin v Venus Williams Marion Bartoli v Venus Williams
I predict a first Wimbledon crown for Henin. Go woman!!!

OhmyGOD!!! Did anyone watch the match between Henin v Bartoli? I was astounded. Really must :kowtow: Bartoli. If she can play as good as this in the final, the crown is hers.

Men’s QFs Line-Up:
Group 1
Roger Federer SUI (1) v Juan Carlos Ferrero ESP (20)
This is easy. Roger all the way. I can’t see Ferrero beating him. Luckily I haven’t had any chance watching Roger’s game in Wimbledon or I’ll be bored by the time final come.

Andy Roddick USA (3) v Richard Gasquet FRA (12)
I haven’t really watch Gasquet play and I think Roddick is kinda shaky in his game. Hmm guess Roddick will advance where he’ll meet Roger in QF and lose. Hahaha

Group 2
Marcos Baghdatis CYP (10) v Novak Djokovic SRB (4)
Baghdatis is playing excellent tennis and I’m gunning for him. He thumped Davydenko in straight set on the 4th round.

Tomas Berdych CZE (7) v Rafael Nadal ESP (2)
This is easy too. King Nadal will rule. He will meet Baghdatis which I don’t have a clue who is going to win. Anyway I prefer Nadal.

Men’s Final line-up (my prediction): Roger Federer v Rafael Nadal
I’m hoping for a miracle…Nadal please!!! I think once Nadal can overcome Federer in grass court he’ll be an even greater player.

Cheers and have a happy weekend. It’ll be tennis and F1(Silverstone) all the way for me.
