2016 have been good to me.
Mmm let me rephrase it: I work hard to make 2016 a good year to live in. At the end of the day, I think I succeeded.
I’m calmer, more positive and have rebounded with new energy. Not all 365 days are bed of roses and I try not to let negativity affect me too badly or deeply. Sometimes it does affect me more than I could handle (I’m only human) and giving myself a pep talk is the best way to bounce back. I’m grateful for all the ups and downs I experienced this year. From it, I learned a lot.
Special love ❤️ and thanks to Daebak (Lee Si An) of The Return of Superman (I highly recommend this variety show; there are so much we can learn from the kids). Your 할 수있다 (hal su it da/I can do it) gives me strength when I need it the most and whenever I need a good push. ✊
I’ve been cooking my own food and exercising more frequently (found a helpful apps), getting more involved in gardening (really good for the mind!), watching less Korean dramas (haha) and cutting back on unnecessary wants. I enriched my mind this year with lots of learning and experimenting. I’ve also started practicing mindfulness but it’s stagnant now but I will pick it up back soon. Providing food and talking to ’em furry friends from behind my house help soothe my soul. Lastly, I’m super grateful for my end of the year Japan trip where I get to experience the wonderful autumn foliage.
2016 is a year of learning, healing, practicing positive thinking, eating healthy and having faith in myself. I believe all these are the basic of happy life.
I mentioned last year that I wanted to taste the sweetness of life again.
And I can tell you this: I tasted it in 2016. Yay!
I’m so ready to welcome 2017. Here’s to more happiness. 🥂💗
I’m going to start with cutting back on sugar, more frequent yoga and mindfulness, learning new skills and getting more out of my comfort zone. 할 수있다!!!
