Ramadhan Bazaar: That Famous Penang Popiah Stall @ SS14, Petaling Jaya

How’s your Merdeka celebration? Mine came and went just like an ordinary holiday. Sudah tak ada semangat. I didn’t even celebrate my birthday. Bought a cake that stayed unmove in the fridge. LOL

Ok let’s move on to the main agenda… Ramadhan Bazaar!

For years we wanted to try this famous Penang Popiah stall at SS14 Ramadhan Bazaar. And for years it has eluded us until last Saturday. The reason was because the queue was always very looooooooooooooooooooong and very slow moving (worse than tortoise speed).

I was at Digital Mall to get my ‘reserved’ Toshiba SDHC 16GB card from All It Hypermarket. It was around 3.20pm. I thought I will surely miss the Ramadhan Bazaar there since it’s too early?! But whaddya know? Many stalls were just setting up and some are already busy selling buka puasa juadah.

And then we saw it. The Penang popiah stall!

Hello peeps!!! It has been 18 days since I last blogged here. Quite a feat actually. Haha

I’m not even half way done with my first Siem Reap travelogue post (too cheong hei liao). Gee I know I’ve been busy but I did have some spare time too. And what did I do with my spare time? Playing Poker, tending my farm and cafe and killing mafias! So for now why don’t you go visit my food blog. Hehe FYI, food post is easier to write than travelogue… this is a fact!

Hot Weather & My Smart Dog Hehe

Ahh March is here. How’s everyone? I feel bloated (CNY aftermath). Hahaha And then there’s the crazy weather. *sigh HoT HOt hOT!!!

When I landed back in Malaysia few days ago, I thought I wouldn’t have to suffer Siem Reap’s heat anymore. But aiyo it’s the same hot here but Siem Reap is slightly hotter. The only solace is my hotel room. Will tell you why later.

My poor dog is feeling the heat as well. He’s been drinking lots of water. Very unlike him actually. And he’s constantly playing with his mini ‘swimming pool’ (read: water bowl) when no one is around. LOL Gotta bath him soon. His last bath was 2 days before CNY. That’s like 17 days ago. Hehe

We’ve Gained Weight!

Hi! How’s everyone? Hope y’all had a fab holiday. I missed blogging. I missed penning my thoughts using my broken Engrish. Hahaha Do you know what it means since I’m back blogging before the start of 2010? Yeah, I got my new notebook. Will dedicate a post to my new gadget.

Meanwhile I’ve gained weight and so is Chester. We both had larger spare tyres now. LOL! My *&$$#@ gastric strikes again and I need to eat every few hours in little quantity or I’ll start burping (lots of gases) with cramp muscle and my hands and legs will feel cold. Food is like medicine. Oh I hate it! (will I not EVER get better?)

As for Chester, his weight gaining scenario is of entirely different story. This owner of his think he’s just too thin. So instead of 3 cups of kibbles/day she has increased his intake to 4 cups/day. Of course the dog has nothing to complain about. Food is food ma.

Semi-Hiatus

I’m taking a semi-hiatus leave from the blog world.

What it means is I’m still active in blog-hopping activities but this will be my last post… deng deng deng… FOR 2009 (did I fool ya a bit?) unless I get my new computer before year end.

My pc went kaput a week ago (right after PC fair… DOH!). I’m currently loaning someone’s else laptop which means writing post and processing pictures are a tad difficult for me. I have so many things to share but I guess I will leave it for now.

I ordered a DELL laptop last weekend (not sure about the delivery period since this is year end, everything is peak). This will be my first ever laptop. I guess this is the right time changing to ‘mobile’ pc (like what I did after the end of my beloved Lumix P&S camera – bought a DSLR hahaha).
