At this point, after having traveled for 14 days in Japan, things become fuzzy. There are some things that I forgot to do or have forgotten already. One of it is what I ate for breakfast on day 14 (forgot to take a snapshot). Hahaha Anyway, that’s not important.

I actually planned to go to Rikugien for, yet more koyo but decided perhaps it was more than enough already for this trip. Instead, we head to the Farmer’s Market at UNU. Oh yes! ✌️

We left the hostel at 9am and took the subway to Omotesando Station. On the way, my sis chanced upon Moomin’s bowl set at KFC. What else? She bought KFC and are now a proud owner of the Moomin bowl set. Haha

This is the United Nations University or UNU for short, for which the farmers’s market is held every weekend (Sat & Sun) from 10am-4pm. See the tents? It’s also known as Aoyama farmer’s market. We arrived around 10.30am.

Day 11 was yet another tiring day. I think at this point, I forgot many things that I saw and did in Tokyo. LOL. Because it was raining that day, I decided to just keep my DSLR (only shot 39 photos with it) in the bag and used my sis’ point and shoot instead.

Nui @ Tokyo
First, I’m going to talk about our accommodation in Tokyo called Nui. Hostel & Bar Lounge. It’s yet another hostel, cafe, bar and restaurant combo. It’s a sister to Len Kyoto Kawaramachi, which we stayed while in Kyoto. I was actually torn between Nui. and toco. (also sister company) but chooses Nui. instead. Ohh I deeply regretted my decision. I’ll let you know why in a moment.

Day 10 is all about Tokyo DisneySea adventure! Prior to this trip, I contemplated a lot whether I should go to Tokyo Disneyland or DisneySea. I can’t go to both because of time and budget. In the end I choose DisneySea, as I’ve been to Disneyland in Hong Kong before. I know they are not the same but at least the names are similar. LOL. Also, most that I asked told me they enjoyed DisneySea more. Plus DisneySea is more for adults and Disneyland for kids.

Fujikawaguchiko & Tokyo Day 9: Mount Fuji Views, Kawaguchiko Natural Living Center & Oishi Park

Kyoto & Mishima Day 8: Shinkansen & Beautiful Mishima (Part 1)
Fujikawaguchiko Day 8: Kagelow & Kawaguchiko (Part 2)

What’s the most perfect thing to wake up to when one is staying at Fujikawaguchiko? If you’re lucky like us, that means you get to admire Mount Fuji at dawn and sunrise. My initial plan was to go to Chureito Pagoda at Arakura Sengen Shrine before dawn and wait for the sunrise and view Mount Fuji. However, I cancelled it the last moment since it’ll be quite a hassle using public transport because the timing won’t match with our next agenda. Besides, our rooms at Kagelow Mt Fuji Hostel has Mount Fuji view. So, it’s a win-win situation no matter what.

When I woke up around 5.45am, the sky was still dark. So, I went back to bed (slept on tatami), which is actually just beside the window. Then at 6am, Mount Fuji finally appeared! I quickly woke my sis and together we sat there, admiring this beautiful gigantic beast and of course busy clicking away. “Wahhh”, “Wowww”, “So prettyyyy”, “Oh my GOD”, “So so BEAUTIFULLLLLL” are some of the words that came out from my mouth. My heart was full looking at Fujisan. It was our lucky day.
