Childhood Fun

When I was little I had my fair share of fun. I liked to imagine stuff and I still do sometimes. I read Famous Five a lot. So when it comes to playing with my sister, we imagined peculiar things to play with. The sofas became our mountains, badminton racquet as our machine gun, chair as our cave (ohh yeah we crawled underneath the chair), drain as our camp or dangerous path, tricycle as our car, cushion as island, blanket as our cape, teddy bear/pillow as our baby and et cetera. And you know what? playing this game got my adrenaline pumping. Shiok man!

As I grew up, my favorite plaything were mom’s dresses, makeup and shoes. We dressed our self and imagined acting in those HK TVB dramas. Mom rarely scolded us because most of the time she was at work. Kekekeke shhhhhhh! Then we took a liking on HK singers such as Leon Lai, Aaron Kwok, etc. Every afternoon sister and me had karaoke session or a Jade Solid Gold session. Hahahaha.. We dressed up in mom’s dress, playbacked our fav’s Cantonese song, sang using a microphone, cut out small rectangular papers as our special effect (like rain falling), use an old tape recorder to record our precious voices, etc. We even acted as if we were host and singer in Jade Solid Gold. Ohh yeah and I like to be a Char Kueh Teow cook as well. We had small wok, soy sauce bottle, water (as special effect), paper as bean sprout and Kueh Teow, chopping board, chopsticks… ok ok I’m gonna laugh myself off now. Aiyoooo I’m so creative!!! Those were the good ole times.

My most memorable childhood fun was climbing up the sharp edged of my house’s fence because I had forgotten to bring my front gate’s key to school. I was wearing skirts and once my skirts got stuck. Cayalah!!!

My favorite games at school during break time were playing lizards in the adventure series ‘V’ and ‘catching’!!! I miss watching ‘V’.

Present

I’m creative no more. I don’t makeup except for a lipstick sometime, I don’t buy lots of dress, I don’t wear high heels, I don’t like Leon Lai or Aaron Kwok anymore, I don’t follow Cantonese songs or TVB dramas (coz no WLT) and I don’t play in the drain anymore (nowadays it’s so polluted) but I like Char Kueh Teow, teddy bear, my good ole pillow, singing and of course adventurous stuffs. I miss playing ting-ting and catching the most. Who would like to play catching with me?

p/s: planning to try wall climbing soon.

catching as in police, sentry, 1, 2 jaga (heh!heh! funny how the wasname give! 🙂 )or do u mean throw n catch balls?

i guess it’ll look ok for grown ups to act like in the hindustani film as a revival of playing catch but get a bf first n find a park, heh!heh! … as for catch ball, interested in joining the softball team? 😉 😉

if u can’t stand heights, go for bouldering instead. :peace:
