I visited the dentist last Friday!
It was a year and half ago when I had my first tooth extraction. I promised myself to go for dental checkup a year later but I’ve been delaying it for an extra half year because I thought I need another extraction for this one other tooth (which decayed very badly but has been filled around the same period as my first tooth extraction).
So when Mr. Dentist said it’s still good, I was so happy. A burden has been lifted up. Kekekeke. Did a filling for another tooth (upper left end) however. Eeee I hate wisdom teeth la. They hide so ‘deep’ in your mouth.
Damage done to my purse:
Filling = RM55
Scaling and polishing = RM60
Next dental appointment: 6 months from now.
From now on I plan to brush my teeth after every meal (if situation allow). All this while I though over brushing will do damage to our teeth but turns out it’s okay to brush after every meals.
How often do you brush your teeth?

the other day my wisdom tooth was giving a hell. i thought it’s decayed :S. apparently it’s heatiness in my body that caused it. phew! visit to dentist is always no fun π
Yo decaying tooth and heatiness goes hand in hand. Learned this from my previous experience. Better give the dentist a visit. Really.
Hey that’s no so expensive for the visit, compare to prices on the west.
I brush wash my mouth with listerine, brush my teeth and tongue before I head off to dreamland and after I finished eating breakfast. And never spit out or gargle with water of course!
My dentist visits for the past 8 years? 12x 10to15 minutes… mostly chatting about life…. Hahaha
You never gargle with water? You mean you gargle with listerine after brushing your teeth? Why is that?
LOL if only my visit to the dentist is as ‘happy’ as yours.
listerine before brushing π
toothpaste is fluoride, stronger stuff than calcium on our teeth. You need fluoride to coat the teeth, otherwise might as well brush with water or soap.
Ohhh…
I don’t really like to use mouth wash as I feel it will erode my teeth more than do any good. LOL
hey u have any dentist to recommend in klang valley? i need some polishing too. i went for polishing 2 years ago in ss2, and was charged rm80. i thought it was a rip off considering the rough handling. i dont wanna go back there again
Mine is in Klang. I think it’ll be too far for you. Wuah RM80 is too much lo.
I used to brush my teeth after every meal but my dentist told me not to since my enamel is thining. Now I just rinse it with water and at times will floss. However, it’s a must for me to brush in the morning and night plus nightly flossing.
Another thing I changed was my toothbrush. I bought a Philips Sonicare toothbrush which eventually paid off when I’m at the dentist….the visiting time at the dentist cut down tremendously. Worth every penny i’d paid on the Sonic. It really cleans well and polishes your teeth while you brush. Might want to check that out.
The dentist told me to use ‘soft’ brush for after meal wash. Yes morning and night brushing are a must.
Ohh I will check out Philips Sonicare. Previously I used Oral B rechargeable electric toothbrush but after my tooth decayed problem, I stopped using it. I blame it on the toothbrush. Haha
