Have A Nice Day

Yo yo yo Dear Friends, I miss you all. Sorry for not being able to visit all your blogs. I’m still on mc today. Hence, no blog surfing for me (at the office hehe). I only visit my plain old blog to reply comments and write this post. Worse is that I will go back to work next Thursday only. Plenty of public holidays ma!

But sad holiday la coz I won’t be following my sis to Singapore this weekend to watch Phantom of The Opera. I’m still not 100% fit. Guess I’ll take this time to repair my PC.

What went wrong with me? Hmmm according to doc I hyperventilated myself. I was feeling breathless due to nose blocked and tight chest (lotsa phlegm) + PANIC.

On Tuesday while driving back both my hands and legs felt numb suddenly. Luckily I saw a policeman and asked him to call for ambulance. I thought I was getting a heart attack/stroke/lung problem?!? The numbness went away and the ambulance never came!!! WTF What if something is really wrong with me?

I felt a few more times numbness on Wednesday and Thrusday. Horrible experience!!! Guess I’m a TOTAL WORRY FREAK! I went to SJMC ER and my ‘secret illness’ specialist and they told me that I breathe too hard… too much oksigen/C02 intake… that’s why I was dizzy and numb.

I even went to a Chinese traditional practitioner. Said my body is heaty. Drank the Chinese medicine and had a series of diarrhea. Guess its to remove toxins & heat from my body.

So there… now you know. My ‘cold’ phlegm is still bothering me and it’s ‘drying’ my throat! argggh. Hate that feeling.

Hmm I heard drinking freshly squeeze lemon can ‘cairkan’ phelgm. True ar? I’m taking Vitamin C and garlic to help combat my sinus as well.

This post is getting long. I’ll stop here.

Have a nice day and great holidays!

when you buy vitamin c, make sure you get the low-acid time-release variety so that your body can absorb it better. you’re on the right track with garlic pills but you might want to add horseradish pills to your supplement regime. horseradish is very good if you’re targetting sinus, as opposed to garlic pills which is good to combat flu, cold, and allergies. i also take fish oil tablets to boost my cardio and immune system due to lack of sleep and erm smoking.

drink ALOT of warm water (it really works! and it soothes your throat) get more rest and go easy on rich foods.

btw, my mum does the lemon thingy whenever she feels an impending sorethroat but somehow i don’t advocate it because lemon is highly citrus and it might trigger more phlegm. i just stick to lots of warm water.

btw, don’t eat any kinds of melon when you’re heaty. watermelon, honeydew melon, stay away from them. melons are funny because they follow the condition of your body. if you’re heaty, then eating melons will have the same effect as eating durians. pity, coz i do crave for cold watermelon when i’m having a sorethroat. haha.

When I saw your topic, immediately Bon Jovi’s Have a Nice Day played in my mind. πŸ˜€ Yes, lemon works, just stick 2 lemons up your nostrils. Good luck. πŸ˜€

OMG you must be scared shitless by an episode like tat. I would be. It’s quite scary. Hope you are well and active by now. Do drink plenty of water especially every morning before you brush your teeth… try drinking at least a cup full. I heard from others on a tip for warding of sinus attack by drinking hot Milo before going to bed. Maybe you can try it. Then again be careful of sore throats later on

Phantom of the Opera.. Wow. It’s truly a waste to missed it. I love this sort of stuff too.

  • Reply Che-Cheh May 8, 2007 at 7:58 am

    Kleio, yup scary. :nailbiting:
Thanks for the tips. I’ll try the hot Milo.
