빅 Big (Korean Drama)

I was so looking forward to the next K. drama after the horrendous Love Rain in the Monday-Tuesday night slots. Big came and fits perfectly into my kind of drama – light-hearted, funny, fuzzy, romantic and hot in the name of Gong Yoo. I went on the Coffee Prince marathon after a few episodes of Big. Although I’ve watched Coffee Prince (2007 drama) before I’ve kinda forgotten how the story goes. Ohh Gong Yoo did not disappoint but I felt kinda icky the part where he kisses Eun Chan which he thought is a boy. LOL.

Anyway back to Big. It’s a story about soul-swapping between a man in his 30s and a teenager. What will you do if an 18 years old soul suddenly possess the body of your fiancee? The drama started off interestingly but through the mid section it started to make the viewers VERY confused and yet suspenseful! Viewers keep questioning about how the story will end. Will the teenage return to his body or is he stuck in the body of the doctor forever?

Where Seo Yun Jae first met Gil Da Ran.

After 14 episodes with 2 more to go, I gotta say the main reason I stick to this drama is because of Gong Yoo. He’s SO HOT!!! And he carries the character Kang Kyung Joon like a charm. I’m not saying this drama is bad. Seriously I’ve not seen any Hong sisters’ (the writers) dramas so I don’t know what to expect of Big. I hated You’re Beautiful (only watched 2-3 epis).

Smoking HOT Gong Yoo! 😛

Although Big is suspenseful the plots sometimes left you with little desire especially the way the writer make the character Gil Da Ran who couldn’t stick to her heart/mind. Overall Big is so much fun to watch. The actors are great and I love the pairing of Gong Yoo and Lee Min Jung. They are just so wonderful. Great chemistry. Suzy’s character irks me a little.

Lovely on-screen pairing.

Ohh and I sincerely hated the way how Big’s later episodes ends… all ended with cliffhangers!!! Come on why not do it like Equator Man??? Why do you want to make us wait for another week? Why? Why? WHY? Suspense-nya!

Updates: So I’ve finished all 16 episodes. The last 5 minutes of the last episode had me at WTF moment!!! What the hell just happened??? That’s all I gotta say. LOL Best episodes are the first 8.

Lee Min Jung as Gil Da Ran and her fiancee Seo Yun Jae played by Gong Yoo.

Gil Da Ran and her student, Kang Kyung Joon played by Shin Won Ho in the good ole days.

Cute cute cute.

Cute couple. I don’t categorize Gong Yoo as handsome. He’s in the most hot and awesome category. LOL

The ‘surprise’ kiss.

Be prepared the scene that come after this. ‘Sucking kiss’ LOL!!!

This is my most favorite scene of all besides the ‘sucking kiss’ scene. I think we gotta thanks the charming Gong Yoo and gorgeous Lee Min Jung for portraying a make-believe Gil-Kang couple.

I’m addicted to Davinchi’s and Huh Gak’s songs for this drama.
