Lee Min Ho ‘My Everything’ Global Tour in Malaysia 2013

I WAS HERE:
Lee Min Ho ‘My Everything’ Global Tour in Malaysia 2013

Kenanga Wholesale City (KWC) Fashion Mall
15th Floor Event Hall
29th June 2013, Saturday 7.00pm
Area: B Zone (R), Row B4, Seat 110

Honestly when I found out Lee Min Ho’s concert cum fan-meeting is going to be at KWC Fashion Mall, I was a bit disappointed. I’ve no idea where it is nor have I heard of that place before and err… it sounded cheap?

Anyway, the day came and I was deciding whether to go or not. I was down with ‘Too much Lee Min Ho sickness’. In another words, I’m Min Ho overloaded. In another words again it means I’m sick of him. HAHAHAHAHAHA It’s not that I hate him or dislike him. I like him!

Note: I don’t go crazily nuts over him, I just like his acting & dorky smile and thought it would be nice to meet him at least once while the opportunity door is knocking.

Finally I decided to just go but I took my own sweet time getting ready. I wasn’t excited, super-charged or anything. The concert start time stated on the ticket is 7pm and I left the house at 6.15pm. With the help of GPS, I found the mall easily and surprisingly no jam. But problem is the elevator. Is there such thing for the elevator to bypass my floor twice in a row? I think I must have waited for nearly 10 minutes for the stupid elevator. There are a total of 17 or 18 floors. Finally I searched for another elevator and got to the 15th floor with ease.

The first thing I heard is some loud music and then I saw the most stunning sunset with KLCC and KL Tower at the foreground. Lee Min Ho will have to wait. Haha I wanted to whip out my camera and take a picture but nope… I must hide my camera until I reach my seat. Well, the rules stated no camera so I just want to be careful although I already saw lots of camera pointing at the stage. I brought my sis PnS camera instead of my big a$$ DSLR. In case you’re wondering, this event hall on the 15th floor is partly open-air. The event hall is rectangular in shape, at one of the shortest side (entrance) is open-air.

So I proceed to my seat and just when I was sitting down, Lee Min Ho emerged from behind the curtain singing his first songYou’re My Everything. Oh wow??!!! I was RIGHT ON TIME??? My thought immediately flew to Phantom of the Opera because I was RIGHT ON TIME too for that musical.

Lee Min Ho singing My Everything (Boys Over Flowers OST). Yes he glows. πŸ™‚

The concert started at 7.45pm. As I was seated in half way point, Lee Min Ho appeared so small to me. Ya lah I bought the cheapest ticket. LOL I was feeling so ahjumma there that I simply sat there, only shaking my legs but very glad I make the decision to attend his concert. At times I slumped on the chair, close my eyes savoring his voice, song and presence while the cool wind blows from behind (remember the open-air part?). Ahh nice! πŸ™‚

View from my seat.

Anyway, here are more photos that I took. They are blurry pictures and some very short and shaky videos for all his songs. Wish I have recorded the whole concert because I want to re-live it! But then to record the whole concert one would need a tripod. Hahaha. Check em’ below if you’re curious.

My Everything video.

2nd song… You & I

You & I video.

Then it’s Q&A time. The translator is on the left and the host on the right side. I love the cheeky host. She’s very lively and fun. You can read the full Q&A transcript here. I think you can see Lee Min Ho sweating a lot at this point. It was quite warm at times but the cool air made it up. Not sure it reaches the stage but the wind certainly cools me down. The giant fans above didn’t help much.

Hear Lee Min Ho say nasi lemak with a cute accent!

3rd song… Pieces of Love. And yup this guy glows again. He’s really an angel. Hahaha

Pieces of Love video. It’s my favorite song. πŸ™‚ That’s why this is the longest recorded song. Oh my poor aching arms.

Then we have a guest group called Monsterz (consist of 2 person) performing 2 fast songs while Lee Min Ho rested I guess. Incidentally they are also Lee Min Ho’s dancers. After that Min Ho came back on stage belting a fast song.

4th song: Love Motion.

Love Motion video.

5th song: My Little Princess video.

If I’m not mistaken after the song above, we have a gift-giving session for 5 lucky draw winners. The gifts are Innisfree products which Lee Min Ho endorses. He gave each winner a hug!!!

Lee Min Ho singing Without You… his 6th song. I like the background graphics.

Without You video.

And just like that he bade goodbye to us. And we all were like HUH?????? THAT’S IT? Many of us were shouting ‘encore’… then about 10-20 seconds later he emerged back on stage singing Say Yes.

At this point everyone were standing up including me. Hey you know what? I enjoyed standing at the concert. That was fun. Still remember the Savage Garden concert I attended years back.

7th and last song: Say Yes video.

Then finally he said his goodbye and thank you to the fans. And just like that it was over. I’m not satisfied… it’s too short. The first thing I did right after the concert was enjoying the view of KL.

Chaos at souvenir stalls selling Lee Min Ho’s goodies.

Lee Min Ho poster at RM10. I didn’t get anything la. I no longer collect poster, sticker, etc. I’ve passed that age.

This is what the event hall looks like after the concert. Fans are leaving and I’m kepoh-ing. Kekeke

Then I saw this: Drop Your Gift Here. I don’t think many people saw this. I even missed this on the way in.

Ohh too bad there are not many gifts for him. I bet not many know about this ‘ritual’ thingy. I didn’t know either there is such thing.

I’ve attended quite a few concerts in my life and this is my first ever Korean concert. I totally enjoyed the whole experience. Hmm, actually I wouldn’t categorize this as a fully geared concert. It’s more like concert cum fan-meeting to me. He sang 7 songs in total, with a Q&A session, a lucky draw session and 2 songs by Monsterz. The concert ended 1 hour 15 minutes later at 9pm. His singing were okay… not great, not fabulous. Still very shy when he needs to shake shake (you can see this at my Say Yes video above). LOL Funny thing is that I find his live singing more engaging than his recorded album. The recoded songs… well they are boring. The tone is quite monotonous.

When he bade goodbye for the last time I knew I have missed something. Where is the dorky smile and laugh of his? I want to see that! That’s the thing that got me to liking Lee Min Ho. Ahh Goo Jun Pyo! And since I was so far away, I couldn’t interpret his height and whether he looks just like in the TV. So hopefully I would be able to catch that dorky laugh in the future. Looking forward to my next Lee Min Ho concert/fan-meeting. Hehe

    • Reply Che-Cheh July 12, 2013 at 10:06 pm

Yup, a box for you to drop gift for him. Never seen this in my entire life until that very night. Haha

So he’s more an actor than a singer?

Thanks for this funny take on his concert. I sort get what you mean – I’ve got this embarassing crush on this adorkable kid but I’m sort of past that squealing fangirl stage so I’m just that ‘noona’ with a silly grin on her face watching him from far. I don’t think he’ll ever swing by down under where I am now, and if only I was in SG when he was in KL for this concert I would have sneaked across the causeway…sigh….

I got hooked on him when I first watched Faith ( that’s how I landed on your blog – was looking for English translation of the novel). LOVED Faith to bits (I fully agree with everything you wrote abt this drama in your other blogpost) and had serious withdrawal syndrome post-Faith. Yup so anyway, ‘stalked’ LMH starting with BOF (it left me stupefied. ..like seriously the OTT-ness of it all was so bad that it was good lol!), became a puddle of goo at Personal Taste and loved loved loved City Hunter. The Heirs was so-so I think, he looked too old for that role (i thought Kim Woo Bin was great though). Tried his pre-BOF works but he was too young then lah. So basically after running out of LMH to watch I go back to Faith :p

There’s this song of Love Hurts or something from The Heirs OST…I thought he sounded quite good in that one.

Hi Ida, who’s that adorkable kiddo? I’m curious. Hehe

Although am a fan of LMH, I don’t always agree with his dramas. The drama that I love are BOF and Faith. Others…not so. I watched Personal Taste, City Hunter and Heirs… all half-way. For me my ultimate LMH will always be Goo Jun Pyo. LOL.
