Samsung Galaxy S3 – My 9th Handphone

Just when the news hit that Samsung Galaxy S4 has arrived our shore, I knew it’s time. But still not the right time as my old BlackBerry is still functional. Well, until that fateful day when I let loose of the phone and everything ended there.

So I bought a Samsung Galaxy S3 in white! Oh you read correct and it’s not a typo mistake. πŸ™‚ S4 is just not within my budget because I refuse to pay so much for a phone. Hahaha Of course owning the latest phone is a nice feeling. Galaxy S3 suit me perfectly fine in the wallet since I know it’s going to get a price drop after S4 came in. Hehehe

I’ve always knew I wanted a Samsung. Part of it was influenced by Korean dramas. You’ll know what I’m talking about if you’re a Kdrama fanatic like me. *ads placement* LOL Part of it also was because Samsung is one of the current popular brands out there I believe.

It only took me to the 3rd shop to receive the best price for Galaxy S3. First shop quoted me RM1499 (including a free Samsung RM89 handphone-nah), second shop RM1399 (free case & screen protector) and final shop RM1260 (free case & screen protector). Would have love it if I could get RM1100. Wuahahaha *I believe you could get RM1100 in September.*

You know the thing about me being klutzy? Few days back I actually spilled my herbal drink on the phone (yeah… clumsy right? shhhh my family didn’t know about this) and thankfully the jelly-like case protected it, so all’s good. Fhew!!! Or else I’ll get a BIG scolding from my dad. πŸ˜›

I’ve been using Galaxy S3 for a month plus now and everything’s good so far. It’s my 9th handphone since I started using one in 2000. The size is just nice for me. Most importantly I can now study Korean when I’m on the go. Love you apps. The camera quality is quite good too. I’m pleased. Compared to the old BlackBerry which I mainly use for phone call, sms and listening to music, the functionality with this Galaxy S3 are tremendous (of course la). With this price and a year ago released (S3 was launched around mid 2012), it’s still worth it. Now this is the real smartphone. Of course there are bad reviews for this phone too and thankfully I’ve not encountered any so far. *touch wood*

Dear phone, give me at least 4-5 years with you. You gotta live through your value and reputation. Hahaha (I’m laughing but I’m not joking!)

Smart choice. It’s crazy, some of the new phone models cost as much as a LED TV. My original Samsung Galaxy S still running fine, just that a bit low on memory running some of the new apps.

Why am I not surprised you get a Samsung phone since you like all things Korean? LOL!

Oh yeah, it’s not worth getting the newest phone. An older one is much cheaper and still good. My brother is currently using this S3 and I’m still outdated with iPhone 3GS πŸ™‚

    Wooo!
When I saw the Samsung launch, I was intrigued, too. So much so that I am considering getting a Samsung when my iPheR dies – but also hope won’t die so fast! Lol

Hahaha why must wait for iPheR to die first? πŸ˜›

I was debating between a Samsung S3 or a Motorola Razr but succumbed to the Razr last November, because of its size…fits perfect in my palm. S3 is a bit too big. I have been using my phone as a replacement of my PC and watching videos (Queen Seondeok). The phone is now lagging…kinda disappointed but have to endure with it for another 1 3/4 years to my next phone! Will probably get a S4 then πŸ™‚

I would love to have a bigger screen but then S3 fit my hand grip perfectly. Maybe there are too many apps? Uninstall some apps or clear cookies to free some memory. Ahh that’s why I never sign up for contract phone… I use the al-cheapo prepaid service. Ohh by then I think we have S5 liao.
