Sewing Spree

I was on a sewing spree the past few weeks. It started because I bought two new fabrics from Spotlight. Then I decided to make something from my old fabrics as well.

In the end I made:
2 x cushion cover (left: love this batik fabric, right: got this from Spotlight – love it)
1 x pillowcase
2 x mini bolster case (red: got it from Ikea, not in photo: batik bolster case)
a bunny scrunchie (somewhere in this photo, can you spot it?)

Here’s the full version of the scrunchie. I made this bunny scrunchie following a newspaper cutting. Not bad. Hehe! It was a birthday present for my sis.

I have forgotten how to sew cushion cover with zip, so I made some error and had to redo. And it was my first time making bolster case. Since referring to a complete version of bolster case couldn’t help me solve the mystery, I end up googling on how to make one. Ahh the power of modernity!

From far they all look perfect. But if you look near, they are not perfect. Hahahaha After finishing my sewing project, I went to Spotlight and bought another new fabric (green polka dot). Couldn’t decide what to do with it with my limited sewing skill yet.

My next project will be knitting. Yes, I’ve decided to learn how to knit. Also… waiting for me in a corner is a stash of clothes which I plan to refashion but still have no idea what to turn them into.

Thanks Keeyit. One of my nanny used to be a tailor too. I saw her making clothes for others. Very interesting. πŸ™‚
