The Book Depository – My Favorite Online Bookseller!

Calling book lovers and bookworms out there…

Have you heard of The Book Depository?

It’s an online UK bookseller that offers huge range of titles AND what’s so good about it is that it provide FREE SHIPPING on everything (oh yeah baby) to anywhere in the world – with some exception (but hey hey Malaysia is in the Free Shipping list!). Besides that the prices are competitive enough (with discount!) and dare I say; some are cheaper than our local bookstores.

So head over to The Book Depository and have a look and see.

Some of our books from The Book Depository.

Sis and myself has bought many books from them (mostly cooking books!) and we’re really satisfied with the condition of the books received and their customer service. Shipping to Malaysia will take about 3-4weeks and so far we’ve only encountered lost package once but that was quickly rectify by them. Kudos!

Note: This is not a sponsored post. Just to share my favorite online shop with all of you. When there’s good deal, it’s good to be shared around. Right? πŸ˜‰

So bad that I am not a book lover. I only bought less than 5 books per year.

Hi, love the site too! currently i am waiting for my books from them. yeay! and have to wait for 3-4 weeks? huh~ but i am not sure what type of delivery service used once the parcel arrives malaysia. is it registered pos?and can we track the parcel? mind sharing please~

    • Reply Che-Cheh April 8, 2012 at 1:35 pm

Book Depository uses standard mail to post therefore these books won’t be trackable. And books are sent individually even if you buy a few at one go. Say I buy 3 books, they will be sent in 3 packages and NOT 1 package.

What is the local company postal that delivery your books? Because I am currently waiting a book from them.

    • Reply Che-Cheh January 20, 2016 at 11:29 am

Hi Nurul, it’s Pos Malaysia. It can take awhile.

Hi. How did you deal with your lost package?
I am currently waiting for mine which has already been despatched out on 11th August 2016 πŸ™
I am not sure who to contact
I have emailed bookdepository and they can only help me confirm that it has been shipped out

    • Reply Che-Cheh September 9, 2016 at 10:24 am

Hi Elyssa, from my recent purchase (this year), I received the books exactly a month after dispatched. So give it a little more time.

For my lost package, I emailed them and they told me to wait a little longer. Waited I did but still no package and they eventually send the book to me again.
