CNY Is A Blast!

Today’s 3rd day of CNY… going on 4th. So fast ya? How’s your CNY celebration?

It’s great for me. Previously there’s only us and my aunt next door that are Chinese. Now we have additional 5 Chinese families in my neighborhood. I get to witness firecrackers! Now this is what I called a meaningful Chinese New Year!!!

My dear Chester had a great time too. I basically spoiled him with CNY cookies. I know I shouldn’t.

Chester’s behavior towards guests is absolutely excellent this year. There’s less barking. More on sniffing, hugging and bonding and humping… well really there’s some humping action going on that day! He basically enjoyed himself!

My 2 cousin brothers whom I’ve not seen for more than 15 years were here. The bonding between them and Chester is incredible. As easy as counting 1, 2, 3. I’m really surprised!!! I know they have dog too. But this is really something. With my aunts or uncles, Chester can still bark at them out of the blue. Chester has never liken anybody that fast. He’s so into my cousin brothers that he basically perform tricks under their commands without ANY hesitation. I’m REALLY impressed.

Let me tell you the most adorable thing that Chester did during CNY. There we were having our group photos taken and look who’s there on the floor? Non other than Chester. We took over 30 photos and Chester were in all the photos. It’s like he understand what camwhore is. 🙂

When they were leaving, Chester barked at them. He’s like saying “Don’t go!” or “Come back next year.” or “I missed ya already.” What Chester don’t know is that they live ocean apart and they can’t visit him often.

My neighbor gave us a packet of firecrackers. I’ll light them come the 8th day of CNY (Hokkien’s CNY).
